Virtual Reality taster experience / Cael profiad a blas o Realiti Rhithwir

*Cymraeg isod* Virtual Reality taster experience About the taster session:  Virtual reality (VR) is an amazing tool to experience a ‘different reality’.  As technology develops there are more ways to connect and impress your audiences. The session will offer an interactive computer-generated experience taking place within a simulated environment, which incorporates mainly auditory and visual, but also other types of sensory feedback like haptic (touch).  This immersive environment can be similar to the real world or it can be fantastical, creating an experience that is not possible in ordinary physical reality.  TAPE has been using the HTC Vive VR in its work for over two years. The Vive offers a hi-end VR experience across a wide range of packages, from art to exploration.  More and more software is being developed in support of design, education and creativity, the only limit to its use is our own imaginations. These wonderfully immersive experiences and the potential of this technology, needs to be seen to be believed.  There will be a 2 hour session in the morning which will be repeated in the afternoon.  Please book on one session only.  You will be using a headset and will be invited to move around and explore a range of experiences. There are only 4 slots per session so book your place soon. Who is this for? This is for creatives/artists who wish to experience ‘VR’ and who may like to experiment with the technology in the future. Getting there:  Parking: Victoria Road Car Park, Colwyn Bay map to car park NB there is an entrance on Berthes Road almost opposite TAPE. Public transport: https://www.traveline.cymru/ Please note TAPE is located on the other side of the Church. Walk into the park, entrance on your right. The buzzer is on the wall to the right of the door. http://tapemusicandfilm.co.uk/about/contact-us/ Maximum participants 5 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Cael profiad a blas o Realiti Rhithwir Ynglŷn â’r sesiwn flasu: Mae realiti rhithwir yn offeryn anhygoel sy’n galluogi pobl i brofi ‘realiti gwahanol’. Wrth i dechnoleg ddatblygu, mae mwy o ffyrdd o gysylltu gydag a gwneud argraff dda ar eich cynulleidfa. Bydd y sesiwn yn cynnig profiad rhyngweithiol wedi’i gynhyrchu drwy gyfrifiadur mewn amgylchedd efelychiadol, sy’n corffori adborth sain a gweledol yn bennaf, ond hefyd mathau eraill o adborth synhwyrol fel adborth cyffyrddiadol. Gall yr amgylchedd trochiannol fod yn debyg i’r byd go iawn neu gall fod yn arallfydol gan greu profiad nad ydy o’n bosibl mewn realiti ymarferol arferol. Mae TAPE wedi bod yn defnyddio’r HTC Vive VR yn ei waith am dros ddwy flynedd. Mae’r Vive yn cynnig profiad realiti rhithwir o safon ar draws nifer fawr o wahanol becynnau, o gelfyddydau i archwilio. Mae mwy a mwy o feddalwedd yn cael ei datblygu er mwyn cefnogi’r dyluniad, addysg a chreadigedd, yr unig beth sy’n cyfyngu ar ei ddefnydd ydy ein dychymyg ein hunain. Mae angen ichi weld y profiadau trochiannol arbennig hyn yn o gystal â photensial y dechnoleg hon er mwyn ei chredu. Bydd sesiwn 2 awr yn y bore gaiff yna ei hailadrodd yn y pnawn. Cadwch le ar un sesiwn yn unig. Byddwch chi’n defnyddio penset ac yn symud o gwmpas yn cael blas ar lawer o wahanol brofiadau. Dim ond lle i 5 sydd ym mhob sesiwn felly cadwch eich lle yn fuan. I bwy mae'r sesiwn hon? Mae’r sesiwn hon ar gyfer pobl greadigol/artistiaid sy’n dymuno cael profiad o realiti rhithwir a fyddai efallai yn hoffi arbrofi gyda’r dechnoleg yn y dyfodol. Cyrraedd yma:  Parcio: Maes Parcio Ffordd Victoria, Bae Colwyn map i’r maes parcio Sylwch: mae mynediad i’r maes parcio ar Ffordd Berthes bron union gyferbyn â TAPE. Cludiant Cyhoeddus : https://www.traveline.cymru/ Sylwch bod TAPE yr ochr arall i’r Eglwys. Cerddwch i mewn i’r parc a bydd y fynedfa ar eich de. Governance and retention - Conwy GC

In this interactive workshop, Kevin will help you turn common sense advice in to common practice including insight on the ideal committee size and structure, and the secrets to the 90-minute effective committee meeting. He points out,“ In our industry typically over 80% of a club’s gross profit comes from membership subscription income, yet few clubs I meet spend 80% of their time around the Committee table exploring how to look after their members!” He added, “Whilst clubs are much better at opening their arms to new members than they used to be,  we just haven’t learned to close those arms to keep hold of them yet, and I will share the key role members and staff have in making that happen.”      All delegates will leave with a step by step action plan for improving the effectiveness of their clubs, with a focus on membership retention.

Nature of Snowdonia - plus Birds in the Mountains

Once again, we are joined by Julian Hughes of the Welsh Ornithological Society for this workshop. It is a real treat to have his expert input as we travel from the valley, through distinct habitats to open mountain. This is Hen harrier country.  These workshops are primarily aimed at Mountain Leaders and Instructors or trainees working towards those awards. Anyone working outside with, or leading, groups in the hills or mountains of the UK should however, find these workshops of interest. We generally attract a like-minded keen group of people who get along with each other giving the day a fun feeling in which to learn.  This workshop is eligible for MTA, AMI, BAIML and BMG CPD points.  Whilst this workshop has a bird’s theme Mike, author of Nature of Snowdonia, will respond to whatever the environment and weather throw at us on the day. Key topics might include; spring flowers and other plants, geology, glaciation, and archaeology.  You will need to dress for the weather, bring spare gear, and expect to be 'on the hill' for about six hours. Bring a packed lunch. You will find a digital camera and/or a smart phone, pen/pencil and notebook handy too.  A proportion of your fee will be donated to the Welsh Ornithological Trust
