On the 19/2/2010 at 3am I took my son in to the emergancy ward as he was wheezing and had difficulty breathing. My son is 1 year 9 months so when they cant breathe its serious. The doctor on duty had to be woken up and then asked me what had happened that we had come in. It was very visible that my son needed urgent attention as the nurses commented that he needed an injection and a drip. She couldnt do anything as she was not a doctor and I could see she knew what she was talking about as she said her child had the same problem. The doctor sent us away with more antibiotics and said it will pass in a couple of days.My son was admitted in hospital on Monday with Bronchil Pneumonia and was in for 5 days with heavy treatment. My child sufforred because the doctor was more interested in sleeping than actually assisting my child. I am horrified with the way we were treated by a man that has taken an oath to help people. We have been told to pay in more money for the treatment, but I really dont wish to as it costed us so much more after we were sent away. Luckily I didnt have to pay with my sons life. Something needs to be done about this.
