IWA Cheshire Locks Canal Cleanup


IWA North Staffordshire & South Cheshire Branch and Trent & Mersey Canal Society.  Monthly work party on the Cheshire Locks, Trent & Mersey Canal. 10am to 3pm. Meet at Church Locks 47 & 48 adjacent to All Saints, Church Lawton, ST7 3DD.  Please wear stout shoes and old clothing that you don't mind getting some dirt or paint on and bring a waterproof in case of rain. This workshop will provide your HODs with the knowledge and skills to confidently communicate and engage with your teams to increase sales during the festive season. During the day they will take part in activities including planning and budgeting for the festive season, wine and food matching, delivery of excellent guest service, maximising sales at every opportunity and how to motivate your teams to achieve targets through creative incentives. They will be introduced to skills and tools that you can take away with them and immediately implement into your business.      Objectives By the end of the workshop your manager will be able to … Plan to exceed their Food & Beverage budget during the Festive Season Review their Business on the Books and compare to previous year /budget to identify the ‘gap’ Detail and devise a plan to achieve wine and beverage sales for each Service/ Party Night/ Private Event to exceed Beverage budget Explain and demonstrate how matching wine to food can maximise sales Discuss ways to recognise sales opportunities and then apply back in your workplace. CCPA National Conference - Are you ready for Charity Growth?


The CCPA national conference offers delegates a programme of presentations, workshops and networking opportunities around the theme of ‘Are you ready for Charity Growth?’ Designed to support learning and professional development for those working within the childhood cancer sector the conference will be exploring the challenges of growing a charity; with specific reference to the challenges faced by operating in the ever changing digital age.  In addition to two key note presentations, delegates can choose from a mix of practical and interactive sessions focussing on three main topics: Supporting the support workers, Charities in the digital age and Diversifying and Growing your fundraising. This valuable learning and networking event is open to both CCPA members and non-members who are working within charities that share the goal of improving the lives of children and young people with cancer, survivors and their families. It aims to give delegates opportunities to connect and share experience with others facing similar challenges. The conference venue, Yarnfield Park is a short drive (15 mins) from the M6 and has plenty of parking. On site overnight accommodation is also available for delegates making their own accommodation bookings.
