Sandy Park Wedding Fair


Sandy Park's Spring Wedding Fair, in partnership with Debenhams and the Bridal House of Cornwall, will take place on Sunday, 12th May 2019. The Fair will be open between 10.00am and 2.00pm and brides-to-be can be inspired by some of the South West's best wedding suppliers who will be on hand to offer friendly, specialist advice on everything to make a Big Day special. For couples still on the lookout for venue inspiration, Sandy Park's Chiefs Suite will be decorated to provide some ideas for a civil ceremony and wedding breakfast. Pi Singles Christmas Red Coat Legendary Guide of Exeter and Christmas Markets


Join us on Friday 14th December for a wonderful official Red Coats Guided Tour of Exeter at Night followed by browsing and supper at the Christmas Markets. We will be meeting at 6pm promptly at the main West Front of the Cathedral, where the tour will commence. We will be taking in some of the most historic parts of the city. Find out why Exeter is reputed to be one of the most haunted cities in the country and learn more about the 2000 year old city.  The tour will last approximately 90 minutes and we will then have a little time to wonder around the markets and meet again for supper at one of the eateries at the Christmas Market and visit the Oddfellows bar. Universal Credit for People with an Illness or Disability


course description  Media coverage of Universal Credit often concentrates on the Government’s intention to ‘make work pay.’ But what happens if you have an illness or disability that affects your ability to work? Around 40% of people claiming benefits for sickness are found fit for work, but about 65% of people who challenge decisions are successful. It’s often people with mental health problems who find it hardest to prove their case, whose condition deteriorates as they try to do this. Come and find out how the system has changed for people with an illness or disability so that you can help understand how UC will affect them. This course is for organisations who support people with an illness or disability who are of working age who want to be able to maximise their income.  The course will cover: an overview of benefits for people who are too ill to work; basic conditions of UC as they relate to people whose health conditions or disabilities limit their ability to work; the Work Capability Assessment; how to challenge decisions. ABOUT YOUR TUTOR Vincent Willson Vincent has worked for the Citizens Advice service in Devon since 1985.  As an experienced trainer, he has provided benefits training for many years to voluntary and statutory sector staff, covering all aspects of the benefits system from introductory courses to Tribunal Representation.  He has been a benefits caseworker throughout his working life, having taken cases up to the Upper Tribunal level.  He continues to work as a benefits caseworker, providing advice and assistance to families with children with disabilities and to young people with disabilities.  He also provides benefits advice as part of the Devon Advice Service for Working Age Carers and is the Chief Officer at Citizens Advice Teignbridge. Follow brave Gerda in her quest to rescue Kay from the Snow Queen, discover why the Robin’s breast is red and how to kindle the fire that would not burn… Aimed at children 5-12 years, younger and older most welcome too.
