RSPB Member? Why not head out early (from 8am) as the site is opened and enjoy a spot of birding while it's quiet. This event is open to RSPB Members only and you'll need to have a valid membership card with you as well as your booking confirmation. FENCING 4 ALL @ Darlington Dolphin Centre


Fencing is a great sport for young and old alike! It challenges the mind and body, becoming more accessible with all the equipment and coaching available! Our sessions are suitable for new and experienced to fencing. All coaches are registered with British Fencing. Darlington Dolphin Centre has 2 sessions on Mondays for ages 8-12yrs and for adults over 13yrs.  All instruction is given, just come in trainer shoes, tracksuit bottoms and t-shirt! It is recomended that you bring a water bottle! We meet in the Dolphin Centre Central Hall. Introduction to Lino Printing


Cosy surroundings and expert tuition. Linocut printing is a simple but effective technique. You will learn how to use cutting tools to cut a range of marks into the surface of the lino block, creating your image or design and explore ways to add colour to your image.The aim is to provide a relaxed, friendly, supportive, experimental and fun experience where you will learn a new (or revive a previous) skill and take home something you feel proud enough to frame!All materials and equipment will be provided.There will be coffee/tea and cakes and biscuits available throughout the day, but please bring a packed lunch or be prepared to pop out for a sandwich. Also, please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting messy and/or an apron.If you have a particular theme or image you would like to work from please bring it along – your own drawings, photographs or magazine cuttings are all good source materials – but don’t worry if you haven’t – that can all be provided.Group size: 2 – 4 people. You can book as a group or as an individual and the workshop is suitable for absolute beginners.Work may still be ‘tacky’ at going home time so it can either be sent home to you a few days later or you may wish to consider how you could transport it home – spread out in the boot of the car would work.
