Late Summer Lectures in Literature


From snake-women to satirical pamphlets, the beginnings of sound film to the burning of Shakespeare’s globe: come along to our annual Late Summer Lecture series for the latest research into literature, books and culture. The 2018 series is themed around ‘Beginnings and Endings’.  All lectures are presented by early career researchers from Northern universities, bringing cutting-edge insights to you in Durham. The series is free and everyone is warmly welcome, from school and university students to the general public. There will be a chance to ask questions of the speakers, and to mingle afterwards over free refreshments.
