RTC Training - Support for First Line Managers


Support for First Line Managers is a 3 day programme aimed at First Line Managers.   Giving key individuals the opportunity to unleash their potential as managers can be a real boost to productivity and overall organisational performance. Effective management training will ensure first line managers’ have the confidence and ability to manage teams, achieve targets and contribute to business excellence. Course Content: Day 1 23rd January 2018  - Introduction to First Line Management The role of the First Line Manager Personal development for the role Understanding and meeting the needs of stakeholders Managing team performance Day 2 24th January 2018 – Being a Leader Organisational requirements for a leader Leadership styles Building the team Day 3  - Atendees are asked to choose at least one option from the list below.  A member of the Training team will advise of the relevant date for this session in due course. Management Communication Resource Planning Recruitment and Selection Processes Improving Team Performance Managing and Communicating Information Identifying Development Opportunities Management Report Writing Maintaining Quality Standards Successful completion of assignments and attendance at 2 initial sessions is required to receive Level 3 Award in First Line Management Successful completion of assignments and attendance at 3 sessions is required to receive Level 3 Certificate in First Line Management. Delegates can also go on to study for a Diploma in First Line Management.  Please note, additional accreditation fees may apply depending on your individual circumstances. **Eligibility Criteria and Costs** Please note - This Level 3 course is fully funded through Skills Support for the Workforce funding (SSW) for eligible individuals/businesses in Northumberland, Tyne & Wear and Country Durham. About the Event: In today’s digital world is it really important that we remember the human element?  In this session we will explore this question, what we think it means to be human, why being human might be important and how to ensure we remember to be human.  We will discuss what we mean by resilience and ways to build our resilience capability.  We will reflect on what we mean by emotional intelligence, explore the various elements that influence it and ways of building our emotional awareness.  This session will be highly interactive and energetic for be prepared to get stuck in! Charges for this event: Members £5 Students : No Charge  (Please read non attendance policy)  Non Members charge will be £25 Cancellation Policy Once booked delegates will only receive a refund if the organiser is notified 7 days before the event .  Cancelled places will automatically be offered to the next person on the waiting list by electronic notification.
