Children's cooking classes

If you are looking for a place where your child can learn something different, during the school holidays, then look no further!! CCMC focuses on teaching children (ages 6-16) how to cook different types of food each day. We don't just cook, but we teach children about Allergens, Food hygiene, Creating Menus and Creating Recipes. This is an opportunity for your child to adopt a life skill!!! Demonstrations will take place, so children can replicate the cooking. Children will be fed and provided with a container to take some food home! Equipment and ingredients will be provided! Weekly Sessions: Monday to Wednesday from 10am to 2pm [During ALL school holidays] Children can enrol on a minimum of one weekly session. You can decide on which session you would like your child to enrol on. Children that complete 4 weekly sessions will be provided with a certificate. The curriculum can be emailed to parents before purchasing tickets. Location: Gravesend (Kent)/ Barking (East London) Extra Information:  In the final week, children will be split into groups and they will be asked to make a specific dish at home. They will then have to bring their dish to the next session. The best dish will be awarded with a prize. The curriculum is designed for the summer holiday; during the half terms, children will follow the same structure, but they will be cooking different dishes. Timetables will be provided after enrolment.

Paddle boarding 2-hour Event (including 1-hour lesson, free time for fun and Pilates on the paddle boards)

Paddle boarding is GO!!! Super excited to be able to offer this to you all. Paddle Boarding is an all-body workout which has more than just the physical rewards, it can also restore your balance and calms your spirit and its sooooo FUN!!! We are going to head to the water sports centre in Mote Park for a morning of FUN on the paddleboards Sunday 19th August, 2018 Start: 10:30am - 11:30am 1-hours lesson on the lake from the owner of the watersports centre on all things paddle boarding 11:30 - 12noon - 30 mins fun on the paddle boarding - putting into practice everything we have just learnt 12noon - 12:30pm -  30 mins to try some Pilates poses/exercises on the paddleboards with Frances or if you prefer, continue your 'free time' or simply relax on the paddle board and laugh at the rest of us trying not to fall in :-)  12:30pm finish All equipment is provided, life jackets are not needed as the lake is so shallow - its 4 and 5 ft deep and only the small area in the middle is 6ft deep. The water is warm, due the shallow water depths., its very clean and safe. It’s a beautiful setting, which i hope you will find really relaxing.  What to wear: its best to wear shoes - trainers (which you don’t mind getting wet) or boat shoes, crocks, or jelly shoes just to give you a bit of grip on the boards plus if you do fall it it stops you putting your feet on any possible stones on the waterbed, Flip flops are not recommended. You can wear swimwear with something over the top or just leggings and a t shirt - something which you don’t mind getting wet - if you fall in ( Frances has done it quite a few times now and not fallen in, yet!! ) so you may not fall in ;-) and light layers are best clothing wise. Paddle boarding is REALLY fun and a fantastic workout, you can lay, knee or stand on the paddleboards. Its a full body workout: Almost every muscle in the body is used at some point during paddle boarding, plus its very low impact: so you get a great workout with minimal impact to your joint and ligaments.  Cant wait for this fun morning with you all.
