Learning objectives: By the end of the one-day workshop, delegates will be able to: Recompletion of the Medical Appraiser Competency Self-Assessment Tool and action planning to address any remaining knowledge gaps Manage an effective appraisal discussion to support professional development, quality improvement and revalidation Consider the quality and breadth of supporting information produced by the doctor, ensuring that it covers the whole scope of the doctor’s work Describe the role and responsibilities of medical appraiser Deal appropriately with minor concerns that do not affect patient safety Judge whether the doctor has engaged appropriately in the appraisal process and the review of their whole scope of work  Outline Programme: Pre-course work (MUST be completed prior to workshop attendance): E-learning module with the following objective; to encourage you to familiarize yourself with the key supporting documentation for revalidation, with particular emphasis on the roles and responsibilities within the process. This day is open to anyone who struggles with self esteem or needs some time for themselves to recharge. You will learn the importance of self care and how incorperating time for yourself will improve your well being. This fun & informative workshop includes a light lunch. A self care activity is encouraged for the afternoon in your own time, so don't plan to rush off. Due to funding criteria this course is only available to women who have been impacted by domestic abuse. Join us for RSA Taunton's annual Dillington Dinner this September. Unfortunately we are having to postpone this year's Dillington Dinner originally planned for the end of June or beginning of July. The Dinner will now be on Thursday 27th September  at 6.00pm at Dillington House.   The format will be as in previous years, drinks followed by a short talk and then the dinner.
