SUCCESSFUL STREET PHOTOGRAPHY WITH DAMIEN DEMOLDER


Damien is a photographer, journalist and photographic equipment expert, speaker, judge and educator. He has worked in the photographic publishing industry since 1997, including 15 years at the world’s only weekly photo magazine, Amateur Photographer, where he was editor and still writes regularly for DP Review and British Journal of Photography. He specializes in street photography, but also shoots portraits, landscapes, architecture, natural macro and occasionally even wildlife and weddings. He has judged many competitions, including Chair of Judges for the Open, National and Youth categories of 2017 Sony World Photo Awards, Hasselblad Masters 2018, Take a View (Landscape Photographer of the Year), International Garden Photographer of the Year, Amateur Photographer of the Year, British Heart Foundation Red Heart competition, and The Thames Festival. All info available at ESMHD webpage INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE SOCIAL PROVISION FOR DEAF SERVICES 15th November 2018 The aim of this event is to encourage Public Services to develop specialist services for D/deaf people with suitably qualified staff who work within that field.  The event will highlight the importance of BSL for deaf children and adults, and promote D/deaf health professionals as role models within health and social care services.  ESMHD SPECIAL INTEREST GROUP (SIG) MEETING 16th - 17th November 2018 SIG Meetings seek to create a close and stimulating environment where professionals can present and discuss their work and obtain support and assistance from other colleagues and researchers. There are three active groups: Deaf Adults and Families, Deaf Children and Families and Public Health. Deepbridge Chester Arts Fair 2018


Join us for Chester Arts Fair 2018, from 16 to 18 November at Chester Racecourse. Returning to the city for the seventh year, buy and view artwork from over 90 UK & international artists at the North's leading artist art far. Whether you're looking to invest in a piece of artwork to brighten up your home or you're searching for a special gift for loved ones, there is plenty to choose from. Collections include paintings, sculpture, photography, illustration, glass, ceramics, digital art and much more ranging from as low as £40 to £10,000 plus.  In addition, the Fair is delighted to host artwork by finalists of the Visual Art Open. An international art competition, the VAO is designed for all practicing artists in the UK & abroad, providing the ultimate platform to develop their passion and career in the arts. Artwork on show in the exhibition at the Fair has been carefully selected by a panel of art expert judges, a highlight on the Fair's programme.  Alongside artwork on display, the Fair will also present a programme of live art demonstrations, artist talks and workshops by some of the Fair's exhibiting artists. For your little artists, a free and fun children's area will hold a number of arts and crafts activities to allow them to create their own masterpiece.  Parking is free to all CAF visitors at Chester Racecourse. A cafe serving hot and cold refreshments will be open all weekend and disabled facilities are available.  The Fair will open on Friday 16th November for the Preview Evening, then open all weekend from 10:30 to 5 Saturday and Sunday.
