Domestic Violence: Risk assessment, MARAC, safety planning and support - FOR PROFESSIONALS IN WOLVERHAMPTON ONLY


**Please do not sing up unless you are A PROFESSIONAL WORKING IN WOLVERHAMPTON as you will not be permitted to attend on the day and will be asked to leave** Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to register at reception where you will be given a temporary pass and asked to wait. One of the trainers will then come and collect you. After the session you will: - Have an increased understanding of what Domestic Violence is. - Recognise the signs of domestic violence. - Understand some of the barriers, how to ask ‘the question’ and deal with a disclosure. - Know how to identify a victim's level of risk using the DASH risk checklist. - Understand what MARAC is and how the process works. - Be able to refer a victim to a specialist domestic violence service and, where appropriate, complete safety planning/risk management plan with the victim in response to the risks presented/identified. Paid parking is available at the Civic Centre car park. Due to limited spaces please cancel your place via Eventbrite if you are unable to make a session.

Girlguiding Commissioner Review - roundtable


Join us at this roundtable event to explore how Girlguiding can make the county, division and district commissioner roles more manageable and enable volunteers in these roles to focus on the things they enjoy and which really make a difference for girls and young women.  Together we will review research and consultation findings, develop recommendations for Girlguiding’s next strategy, from 2020 onwards, and identify practical ideas and suggestions which we can test out in 2019 to improve the commissioner role.
