keeping your business safe from scams

keeping your business safe from scams Our ways to bank and keeping your business safe from scams presentation gives you the material to help  •       Gain insight about the impact of fraud, scams and cyber-crime on small businesses •       Learn what to look out for and how to prevent becoming a victim of fraud •       Hear how we can help you and your business stay safe, however you choose to bank with us Customer behaviour is changing; the majority of our customers perform their transactions through online, digital or mobile banking. More than 5.2 million customers now use our Mobile Banking application; we are investing in improving this further most recently by upgrading our app to allow customers to view multiple business accounts against the same log in. With more customers choosing to bank with us in different ways we have made the difficult decision to reduce our branch coverage across England, Scotland and Wales. As a Business Growth Enabler a key part of your role is to support these impacted customers giving them information on different banking options, digital or otherwise. Educating our customers on different ways to bank is an objective we share with Branch and Premier colleagues, we all need to work together to support our customers. This is why we’ve provided material appropriate to all customers whether they are Business, Personal, eligible for Premier Banking or not. Change in customer behaviour also presents a risk, fraudsters are finding new ways to impersonate customer stakeholders and through scams relieve them of their hard earned money. •       On average a small business is a victim of four cyber crimes every two years •       Cyber crime costs each small business victim c.£3,000 •       93% of smaller firms have cyber crime security measures in place All information used in this presentation you are registering for relating to Keeping your business safe from scams is produced by NatWest for information purposes only and is for the sole use of the attendees at the presentation.  Whilst we feel this topic is beneficial to business owners, the views expressed are not intended to be and should not be viewed as individual advice or as a recommendation.
