Bolton Tuesday Morning Networking Group


Our Bolton Tuesday morning group meets at Dunscar Golf Club, known as one of the most scenic golf clubs in the North West. Meeting schedule – Tuesday, Fortnightly 9.30am – 11.30amOn arrival – Delegates meet in the main function room.Refreshments – Bacon sandwiches and drinks on arrival. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated with sufficient notice.Parking – Free parking on site. The format of the meetings is structured, but relaxed. Delegates sit at a table in a horseshoe or boardroom configuration and start by sharing good news and thanks for business referrals. Each delegate then promotes their business with a 60 second “shout out”. After a break, one member gives a 10 minute presentation about their business. The rest of the time is spent networking and enjoying breakfast. The meeting is chaired by a member of the group, with a member of the Shout team always in attendance. Presentation opportunities need to be booked in advance. Medway Voluntary Action's 'Opening Doors' Volunteering Summit and AGM 2018


Medway Voluntary Action will be hosting a Volunteering Summit along with their Annual General Meeting on 20th November 2018 at mhs homes, Leviathan Way, Chatham ME4 4LL. The theme for the Volunteering Summit is 'Opening Doors' and aims to bring the VCS together to act as a task force to collectively tackling barriers to volunteering for groups of people recognised as being at high risk of loneliness.  The three groups that this Summit will focus on are: people living with poor mental health, people living with a disability and people who are ex-offenders. Through a programme of focus groups, speakers with lived-experience and local expertise, the event aims to create a clear action plan for the VCS to take forward, 'opening doors' and improving access to volunteering opportunities for these groups. The Volunteering Summit will be preceded by MVA's AGM. During the AGM there will also be the annual presentation to the winner of the Barry Clout Outstanding Contribution to the Medway Voluntary Sector Award 2018.  Please note there is no parking at mhs homes. However there is free parking available at The Historic Dockyard Chatham, the postcode for this is ME4 4TE. When entering the car park you must let the gate staff know you are attending the Medway Voluntary Action's 'Opening Doors' Volunteering Summit and AGM to obtain your free place.
