Monday - 6 pm - 7pm - Zumba® with Amie -Turnberries Community Centre, Thornbury

Suitable for all, everyone welcome!  For a fun party atmosphere, fantastic latin and international music, with the added bonus of burning a good amount of calories whilst you let your hair down and dance your cares away.  Great for toning your body too.  My aim is to make fitness fun and have you wanting to come back for more.     Children over the age of 11 years are welcome to attend this class.  Younger children are more than welcome to sit and watch and join in as they wish.  Please note this is an adult class and therefore there will be adult approriate music and moves. If you are attending my Zumba® Class for the first time then you will be asked to complete a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire.   Please bring plenty to drink (water is best), wear comfortable clothes with trainers or dance shoes.  If it's cold outside make sure you bring outer clothes to wear home.  Please remember to bring your loyalty card or Sports Pound Voucher. Teaching time is 55 mins. FAQs Is there parking available? Yes, there is a large car park at the venue, which is free of charge.  Alternatively there is a large public car park a few metres away. What's a Loyalty Card? You will receive a Loyalty Card the first time you attend a class.  Collect a stamp each time you attend a class and for every 5 stamps you collect you will receive your 6th class free.  Each class costs £4.00. Loyalty cards can be used across all classes. What is a Sports Pound Voucher? This is a Voucher which entitles you to attend my Zumba® class issued to you via Sports Pound in conjunction with South Gloucestershire Council.  Please check here for further details of how you may be eligible to receive these vouchers.  This is a new initiative to encourage people back to exercise and one which I will be supporting. http://www.southglos.gov.uk/leisure-and-culture/sports-clubs-and-centres/sports-development/sportspound/    How can I get a Free Class? Easy, introduce a friend to a class.  Book on-line using the "I'm Introducing A Friend" ticket and you will receive your class completely free.  This is for friends who have not attended a class in the past.   Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No, you don't need to.  We have a list of everyone who will be attending the class.   I'm worried about walking into a class by myself for the first time? Don't be, join us, you won't be alone for more than the time it takes you to get from the door to the hall. I take pride in my classes being friendly and suitable for all.  If you have never done Zumba® before then don't worry, I will give you a quick run-down on what happens at a Zumba® class.   How can I get the most out of my Zumba class? Basically, GO FOR IT!!!  As you get used to the moves and routines you will be able to put in more effort. Remember that the more effort you put into your Zumba® class, the more you will get out of it. Feel free to sing along, shout, whoop at us, anything goes, add your own funky moves, go nuts!!!  The more you go for it, the more calories you will burn.  Simples!!! Just as there are ways to make more of your class, there are also ways for those of you who have problems with your joints or other ailments.  You have the choice of doing a lower impact moves, please talk to me if you need advice.
