Bryanston Education Summit 2018

Keynote speakers: Amanda SpielmanChief Inspector of Ofsted Katharine BirbalsinghFounder and Headmistress at Michaela Community School, Wembley, London Ian FordhamDirector of Education, Microsoft UK Daisy ChristodoulouDirector of Education at No More Marking Mary BoustedJoint General Secretary of the National Education Union Andy BuckManaging Director of #honk and founder of Leadership Matters Last year’s inaugural Bryanston Summit was a huge success, with tickets selling out very quickly. This year’s promises to be equally popular, with keynote speakers discussing how our schools can be improved so that our young people can, in the future, compete in an increasingly competitive and global jobs market. Working again with our media partner, The TES, our theme this year is: where next for schools? Moving British education up to the next level. We have invited some of the country’s key figures in education to discuss and debate how our schools can improve. We want our speakers to ask questions: how do we ensure that standards are maintained? What should a school’s priorities be when funding is tighter than ever? Will the pressures on young people grow as the influence on technology becomes increasingly understood? Will the independent sector shrink as fees continue to rise (and what impact will that have on the maintained sector)? And we want our audience to engage in in the debates that will follow. For anyone working in education today Bryanston’s Education Summit is unmissable. Come with an open mind, and take part in a stimulating day of professional development.  Download a provisional programme of the day here. Other speakers include: David Bartram, David Carter, Tom Chatfield, Christine Counsell, Jack Deverson, Natasha Devon, Jean-Louis Dutaut, Stuart Kime, Ann Mroz, Mary Myatt, Becky Parker, Kate Richards, Lucy Rycroft-Smith, Paul Turner, Crispin Weston, David Weston and Gary Wilson More speakers will be added as they are confirmed.
