REHIS Intermediate Food Hygiene (4 Day Course)

Informing Scotland - Armed Forces and Veterans Champions, Highland


Veterans Scotland are delighted to announce that we will be hosting a Regional Gathering of Armed Forces and Veteran’s Champions and others who are committed to support our ex-Service community across Highland. Informing Scotland has been funded by the Forces in Mind Trust (FiMT), a £35 million funding scheme run by the FiMT using an endowment awarded by the Big Lottery Fund. This will allow Veterans Scotland and partners to provide updates and the opportunity to consider in more depth the current situation for the Armed Forces Community living across the region. Networking and sharing ideas on how issues facing veterans can be met to reduce the risk of suffering/ disadvantage as a result of Service will be encouraged on the day. The gathering will be hosted by Highland Council, and will be held in the Inverness Town House. Tea and coffee will be available from 10am and the Gathering will commence at 10:30am and will finish by 3:30pm. Level 1 Referees Course (21 November & 28 November 2018)


MUST ATTEND BOTH DATES Interested in becoming a referee? Passing a Level one refereeing course qualifies you to referee school and club rugby matches – as well as joining your local referee society. You must complete the World Rugby RugbyReady online assessment before attending a Level one course. The Level 1 course is 6 hours in total and is mainly classroom based with some practical elements. The course is free but should you wish to referee for your local referee society, you will be asked to pay the annual subscription. All attendees will receive a Law Book, Law Variation Cards and course handouts. After you've completed the course and passed the exam you are required to do an on-field assessment.  This can be arranged through your local referee society.  With all this successfully completed you are licensed to referee up to and including Regional League 2, Schools, and youth rugby To register for a place on one of the scheduled courses, select the course of your choice from the list below and register your details.  Consideration will be given to any requests by clubs to hold a course for their members at the club outside the dates of the scheduled course listed below –  there will be a charge of £100 to run any course not on the planned schedule.

All too often, leaders leave knowledge untapped in their teams but allowing each team member to contribute and speak out results in a more sustainable business.The purpose of LSP is to change “lean backwards meetings” into “lean forward meetings” resulting in more participation, more insights surfaced, more engagement and, ultimately, more commitment and faster implementations.LSP is a facilitated thinking, communication and problem-solving technique for use with organisations, teams and individuals. Following the successful delivery of a full one day workshop with Resource Efficient Scotland this Spring, Scottish Golf are hosting four Introduction to Resource Efficiency courses to help explore the many ways in which clubs can save money by reducing water, energy and waste bills.   We understand that peoples time can be limited, which is why this condensed version of the full one day workshop will take place from 7pm-9pm.
