Mindfulness Summer Retreat: Cultivating Happiness, Cardigan, June 2019

Mindful Space Summer Retreat, June 2019 Cultivating Happiness "Happiness does come about automatically. It is not a gift that good fortune bestows upon us and a reversal of fortune takes back. It depends on us alone. One does not become happy overnight, but with patient labour, day after day. In order to become happy, we have to learn how to change ourselves." Luca and Francesco Cavalli-Sforza This retreat is an opportunity to allow more joy, appreciation and compassion into your life. We will draw on the work of Rick Hanson, Paul Gilbert and Chris Germer focusing on developing the skills for happiness. The retreat will include sitting meditation, mindful walking and mindful movement; practices to support you in creating the conditions for a rich and full life. Experience a peaceful, nourishing weekend in a beautiful woodland setting. What will I get out of the retreat? Deepen/kick start your mindfulness meditation practice Reflect on the meaning of ‘happiness’ Learn about the theories underlying ‘skills for happiness’ Deepen your capacity to savour the moment Experience practices focusing on compassion, acceptance and appreciation Have a peaceful, nourishing weekend with others in silence What previous retreat participants said:I will take away a renewed confidence in my practice and stillness in my mind.Deborah Brown, Swansea Very enjoyable.
