Children's cooking classes

If you are looking for a place where your child can learn something different, during the school holidays, then look no further!! CCMC focuses on teaching children (ages 6-16) how to cook different types of food each day. We don't just cook, but we teach children about Allergens, Food hygiene, Creating Menus and Creating Recipes. This is an opportunity for your child to adopt a life skill!!! Demonstrations will take place, so children can replicate the cooking. Children will be fed and provided with a container to take some food home! Equipment and ingredients will be provided! Weekly Sessions: Monday to Wednesday from 10am to 2pm [During ALL school holidays] Children can enrol on a minimum of one weekly session. You can decide on which session you would like your child to enrol on. Children that complete 4 weekly sessions will be provided with a certificate. The curriculum can be emailed to parents before purchasing tickets. Location: Gravesend (Kent)/ Barking (East London) Extra Information:  In the final week, children will be split into groups and they will be asked to make a specific dish at home. They will then have to bring their dish to the next session. The best dish will be awarded with a prize. The curriculum is designed for the summer holiday; during the half terms, children will follow the same structure, but they will be cooking different dishes. Timetables will be provided after enrolment.

Screen printing workshop

This is a fun and practical print making workshop where you will learn how to transfer an image to a stencil and produce a perfect screen print in your choice of colour onto a canvas tote bag and tea towel. The beauty of screen printing is that you don't even have to be artistic to get professional looking results - you can print off a design from your computer and as long as you can trace the image and cut it out then you'll be able to print it! At the end of the workshop you will have designed, created and screen printed two unique products which are yours to take home and keep or give away as presents. Notes about the workshop: All you need to bring is a design to work from, this can be hand drawn or a print out from your computer. You will be cutting the image out to make a stencil so try not to make it too complicated. Please note the maximum size of the design is 30cm x 30cm. Please bring an apron or painting shirt to wear. The canvas tote bag and tea towel will be of the same print. The final prints will be in one colour. All printing materials are supplied. Prints are permanent after ironing and fully washable at up to 40°C. Paints are non-toxic.
