One hour introduction to Target Shooting in Leatherhead Spring 2019

A one hour introduction to the Olympic sport of Air Rifle Shooting, at Bookham Rifle Club's superb new facilities just outside Leatherhead town centre. The School is open to all young people age 9 to 18 and is equally suitable for girls and boys. Shooting is very popular with those who have not taken to team sports (and most of those who have!) and is very accessible to those with a disability. It requires mental rather than physical strength, and teaches self-discipline and perseverance. Air rifles, targets and pellets are all supplied and there are no additional costs.  The course is run by instructors certified by the National Smallbore Rifle Association, target shooting's governing body. All have current DBS (formerly CRB) checks and regularly coach young people.  Shooting is a fascinating sport that promotes self-confidence, self-discipline, team-work and friendship. Beginners will find it this session an easy and gentle introduction to the sport. Target Shooting School runs weekly classes during termtime and week-long Summer Holiday Courses. Insights Discovery 1 day Workshop

Insights Discovery is a psychometric tool based on the work of Carl Jung. It was developed to help people understand themselves, understand others, and make the most of the relationships that affect them in the workplace. The methodology uses a simple and memorable four colour model to help individuals understand their style, their strengths and the value they bring to the team. We call these the colour energies, and it's the unique mix of Fiery Red, Sunshine Yellow, Earth Green and Cool Blue energies, which shape understanding of how and why people behave the way they do. So what is the power of Insights Discovery and how can it support development and performance? - Increase personal effectiveness and self-awareness - Explore and enable a range of behavioural flexibility - Build and strengthen relationships through a greater understanding of behaviours - Improve Team productivity by introducing a common colour language that is easy to learn and embed In this workshop, Nicola Blackmore and Liz Beck of Aspiring HR take you through a fun and interactive day learning more about yourself and others through an increased understanding of how your preferences can shape the way you and others interact in a variety of contexts. The day will include refreshments, lunch, your own personalised Insights Discovery profile and the regular favourite - a set of squishy colour bricks! Part 1 Introduction to Insights Discovery ? understanding the Discovery model and your personal profile Part 2 Recognising colour ? building confidence to spot colour energies everyday Part 3 Adapting and connecting ? using Insights Discovery to maximise interactions and relationships *Prior to the event date you will be sent a link to the online evaluator that produces your profile ready for you to receive at the event.*
