Children's cooking classes

If you are looking for a place where your child can learn something different, during the school holidays, then look no further!! CCMC focuses on teaching children (ages 6-16) how to cook different types of food each day. We don't just cook, but we teach children about Allergens, Food hygiene, Creating Menus and Creating Recipes. This is an opportunity for your child to adopt a life skill!!! Demonstrations will take place, so children can replicate the cooking. Children will be fed and provided with a container to take some food home! Equipment and ingredients will be provided! Weekly Sessions: Monday to Wednesday from 10am to 2pm [During ALL school holidays] Children can enrol on a minimum of one weekly session. You can decide on which session you would like your child to enrol on. Children that complete 4 weekly sessions will be provided with a certificate. The curriculum can be emailed to parents before purchasing tickets. Location: Gravesend (Kent)/ Barking (East London) Extra Information:  In the final week, children will be split into groups and they will be asked to make a specific dish at home. They will then have to bring their dish to the next session. The best dish will be awarded with a prize. The curriculum is designed for the summer holiday; during the half terms, children will follow the same structure, but they will be cooking different dishes. Timetables will be provided after enrolment.

Hypnobirthing antenatal education course

Hypnobirthing antenatal education course taught by midwife Cheryl Samuels. Come and join me for this two-day course and learn how to relax and enjoy a positive and calm pregnancy, birth and baby. You will feel prepared, informed and full of excitement about your upcoming birth. •You will discover how your body works during birth and how being relaxed benefits you, your birth and your baby. We will discuss the physiology of birth and the role of your hormones and explain why your birth environment and birth partners are so important. We will also go through some active birth techniques.  •You will learn how to practice hypnotherapy scripts, visualisations and affirmations at home during pregnancy, so that you can achieve deep relaxation for your birth. As part of the course you will be taught how to use massage, aromatherapy and breathing techniques to keep you calm and relaxed. • Research shows that hypnotherapy can significantly reduce your need for pain relief during birth, but so you are fully prepared for all eventualities, I will talk you through your pain relief options if needed during your birth. Why medical intervention is sometimes needed and how hypnobirthing techniques can help you stay in a calm and positive mindset enabling you to feel in control.  •We will also cover care of your newborn and all the essential information you need to know for the early days with your new baby. We will arrange a social meet up at Acanteen one month after your babies are born. •When you attend a course you will receive The Calm Birth Method book by Suzy Ashworth, 5 Hypnobirthing MP3s and workbook, blend your own aromatherapy massage oil, receive a guide on how to use them in pregnancy and birth and a set of affirmation cards all in a goodie bag. •You will recieve 50% discount on pregnancy relaxation classes, for a weekly dose of relaxation and support (£5 instead of £10). Held every Monday at 8-9pm in The Common Room at Galleywood Heritage Centre.  •The course runs over two Saturdays 10-4pm and cost £220 per couple (lunch not included).
