Yarm Breakfast Networking Group


We have a Yarm group that meets every Friday morning at The Parkmore Hotel from 7:15-9am This is a great opportunity to meet a room full of local businesses over a delicious breakfast. Our meetings are structured yet relaxed; we believe networking should be a pleasure not a chore. All it will cost to visit is a £10 meeting fee payable on the day of the event to cover room hire, breakfast, etc.  We allow two visits before we ask if you would like to become a member of the group. Sewing for Pleasure


Always wanted to learn to sew but need the confidence to get started? Come and join us at our sewing classes with Karen. Over a number of weeks we'll learn a series of different sewing techniques helping you to gradually build your knowledge and expertise, and work on a number of different projects so you can develop all the skills you need to continue creating beautiful items to be proud of at home. It's all very relaxed and informal, perfect for those who are complete beginners to those who simply want to refresh their skills. We have machines you can use, or please feel free to bring your own machine. Places are limited so please book to avoid disappointment.

This Tech Manchester workshop is designed to help start-ups get hands on practical knowledge on raising equity funding. Josephine Davies Trio - SATORI


Clun valley Jazz presents another evening of jazz. Josephine Davies is at the forefront of the UK contemporary jazz scene with her main artistic project, Satori, a sax, bass and drums trio. Originally from the Shetland Isles and now based in London her writing and playing continues to be infused with a Nordic quality.

She is known for her melodic focus and her unique style. She is deeply influenced by the American composer Maria Shneider. She has been resident composer and tenor player for the London Jazz Orchestra since 2011. Satori's new album The Corners of Clouds is out on Whirlwind recordings 9th November 2018.

Herefordshire Dementia Friendly Communities Conference


This event is about celebrating all that has been achieved so far in making Herefordshire dementia friendly. This conference will help our community reflect on experiences so far and help identify how we can achieve even more. Participants will hear from a range of people, including people affected by dementia, about the Herefordshire Dementia Strategy, our Dementia Friendly Communities, Meeting Centres and a range of other county-wide initiatives. In the afternoon they will have the opportunity to input ideas into the workshops and help shape future strategy and initiatives. Clay Sculpture Workshop - Beautiful Hares


Get creative sculpting beautiful animals with Stella in this gentle introduction to working in clay. Through this versatile and therapeutic medium, you will learn skills in observation and develop confidence in working in three dimensions. Using basic slab techniques you will be shown how to construct animal forms, adding detail to your work to capture the character of the subject. With a background in 'Illustration', Stella has recently been producing work in clay. Her love of nature and interest in wildlife is reflected in the character of her animal studies. All materials, tools, tea and coffee will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch. The Loudwater Studio can fire finished pieces at a modest additional cost, to be collected later. Places are limited so booking essential.
