Ayr Photography Workshop for Beginners

This event is specifically intended to beginners in photography willing to learn how to use their camera (DSLR or Mirrorless) in the most efficient way possible. This specific workshop will be a mix of photography activities and a walk in the City of Ayr.  With a low ticket access fee of only £159.00 (Ticket for 2 at £270.00) for the day, during this workshop you’ll learn about how to use the settings of your camera, about the focusing, about the exposition and we’ll practice together on different photographic activities like “Street Life”, Architecture” and “Landscape”.  You will not of course become a professional photographer at the end of the day but let me tell you that at this workshop, several things can be guaranteed; a friendly atmosphere, lots of fun, practical exchange of photography advices and a great variety of opportunities to create lovely images… Each workshop is voluntary limited to a maximum of 5 participants to ensure the best communication possible with everyone. Everything you need to enjoy your passion for photography on a stress-free Saturday. *** FREE GIFT *** When booking a workshop, you will be offered a FREE eBook teaching you about the followings: 1. Exposure – The Camera 2. Image Composition and Advanced Composition Techniques 3. The Light Meter and The Exposure Triangle 4. White Balance 5. Mastering AutoFocus 6. File Handling and File Formats This eBook will be send by email as soon as I get confirmation of your booking so you’ll have time to read it before the workshop and, when meeting, you can ask any question you may have about its content. Additionally, it will be a great support to come back to at any time during your photographic journey. There is also a Facebook group for the workshop customers you’ll be invited to join. There is no obligation to participate of course but posting some images you have created during the workshop is always a great way to get constructive comments and through this group, you’ll have a FREE access to more documentation and tips related to photography. Being a member of this group also allows you to keep in touch, ask questions and still learn, long after the workshop is done. FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Yes, you must be minimum 18 to attend this workshop. What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event? Meeting point will be somewhere in the City Centre near a parking lot so no matter if you are driving or coming by train, all participants can meet at the same easy point. From there, we'll walk together through the City. Exact meeting point, usually the Train Station, will be confirmed few days before the event. What can I bring into the event? Your camera first ;-) which ideally should be a Mirrorless or DSLR. Don't forget your batteries and memory cards! Dressing code is of course "Casual' and the one thing very important is to wear easy and good walking shoes as we are going to walk a bit in the City. A raincoat might be wise to also have with you considering our ever changing Scottish weather. A good idea should be to also bring with you some snacks and drinks but if you forget those, we’ll still be very close to shops.  How can I contact the organiser with any questions? The most easy way should be by using the "Contact the Organiser" function from this website but you may also want to use my contact form directly on my website at https://jeremylavender.myportfolio.com/contact  What's the refund policy? Basically there is no refund at all so you must be sure to assist the workshop when buying your ticket.  Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? It should be great but not an obligation as long as you have an ID with you.  Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? It is not supposed to be at first but to compensate the fact that there is no refund available and considering unfortunate things may happen, I will allow a transferrable ticket in the case of a major situation. The major situation to be defined and/or accepted at the sole discretion of the organiser but for example, a broken leg or arm will of course do it. In this case, and only after approval of the organiser, you must let me know of all details about the person holding the transferred ticket and assisting the event.  Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? In exceptional situation as described above, yes it can be OK. But, once again, transferring a ticket to someone else has to be accepted first by the organiser and also few days before the day of the event itself.

How to be an Effective HR Business Partner

At this evening event, we will look at how to be an effective HR Business Partner in the changing world of HR in the 21st century. We have discussed changing HR roles, challenges and demands on HR practitioners at recent events and workshops, and the recently published report by CIPD following a survey of Members, as well as the recently updated and re-published HR Profession Map have also highlighted areas where we are or should be focussing our activities and professional development to support our organisations, employees and the communities we work and live in. Marie Gray is Head of HR for Kibble, Scotland’s specialist provider for young people at risk. One of Scotland’s oldest charities and today a leading social enterprise, Kibble is Scotland’s specialist provider of services for at risk children and young people. Providing a range of integrated services, they help build positive futures for young people with complex social, emotional and educational needs, including education, residential care and outreach services. With substantial experience in both the private and voluntary sectors in business partner and other roles while developing a successful career in HR, Marie is well placed to tell us how differing demands, both between organisations and over time during her career, have shaped her professional development, and pass on her knowledge and advice on how we should be responding and developing our own skills and knowledge for HR roles in the future. As always, book early to avoid disappointment – places will be in demand! In addition, come early for a light buffet and networking prior to the formal discussion, and bring an interested colleague (whether CIPD member or not) – the more the merrier! Remember these events are great for meeting colleagues, increasing your circle of professional contacts, and great CPD!
