Gig At The Gathering 2018

The Gig at the Gathering burst onto the scene at the 2015 Cowal Highland Gathering and immediately cemented itself as ceilidh music’s most exciting new event and one not to be missed. We are delighted that this year’s Gig at the Gathering will be headlined by 2016 MG ALBA Scots Trad Music Award winners Trail West. With strong links to the Hebridean Isles of Tiree and South Uist, the music and culture that they were raised in remains a pure and refreshing trademark in the sound of Trail West. Having recently wowed audiences in Singapore, Trail West will be showcasing their brand new six-piece line-up.In support we are delighted to have Beinn Lee, a young six piece band from Uist in the Outer Hebrides. Formed in 2013, the band are rooted in the west coast style of traditional music. The collective inheritance of Gaelic song and west coast pipe music provide a very strong traditional backbone to their music, but the music is infused with contemporary compositions, self-penned tunes, and a mix of songs from Gaelic to pop and country.Opening the night, all the way from Baltimore, will be The American Rogues. Drawing favourable comparisons to Wolfstone, Afro Celt Sound System, and Trans Siberian Orchestra, and consistently providing performances from grade 1 pipers and other world class musicians this American/Canadian group has electrified audiences on three continents for many years. FAQs Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. Under 18s will not be allowed in the immediate vicinity of the bar. At the bar you may be asked for proof of identity/age. If this cannot be supplied then service may be refused. We a operate Challange 25 policy on site. What can I bring into the event? No alcohol can be brought to the Gig. Bag checks will be carried out and alcohol being brought into the event will be confiscated and will not be returned.  How can I contact the organiser with any questions? Please e-mail questions to [email protected] What's the refund policy? Tickets cannot be refunded. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? You must have either the printed ticket or the e-ticket on your phone/tablet available to be scanned. All tickets must be scanned on the night.
