These will offer the opportunity to meet other senior administrative professionals. They will provide access to a wealth of shared knowledge and an opportunity to understand how others tackle common challenges. It will also likely lead to future contact that will provide ongoing benefits.  Delegate feedback from global Training Sessions during 2017: "On the first day of Executive Secretary Live, I learnt more from my peers and the fantastic line-up of subject matter experts who were presenting than I had from several courses over the previous three years. Executive Secretary Live opened the door for me to be able to provide that real Executive Assistance support relationship that we are all looking for with our Executives as I learnt how to manage projects, think strategically, write reports on my Executive’s behalf, represent them at high-level meetings etc. when they were unavailable and truly be that right hand, go-to person. If there is only one conference you are able to attend, make it this one. You will go away with a plethora of skills and tips from those who you’ve networked with which you can implement immediately and make dramatic changes to how you work and support your executives.” “A truly impressive line-up of speakers, both in terms of content and delivery.” “First class speakers, great networking and a real room full of positivity and inspiration” “I have found a renewed passion for my role. I have read the books I bought at the conference from cover to cover and reviewed both my role and office environment from a new perspective. Now back in the office, I have reorganised my work environment, initiated several new organisational procedures and completely changed the way in which I work. It has not gone unnoticed by my colleagues.” “A well-balanced programme between the practical, the life experience and the inspirational.”

September 2018 Networking Event: Unlocking the True Value of Inclusion and Diversity

Join our September Networking Event focusing on “Unlocking the True Value of Inclusion and Diversity”. Over the last 18 months there has been a massive shift in the way we approach diversity and understand the value of inclusion to harness diversity. In this talk, we will share with you what we know will have a truly positive impact in the way leaders and volunteers engage with a diversity of people. We know that visible diversity triggers certain dynamics of behaviour that requires people to make fewer assumptions, justify their point of view and deliver greater error detection which ultimately drives better decisions. However this dynamic can only be unlocked by inclusion. We know that inclusion brings value and unlocks diversity so now we need to help people understand the subtleties and value in what inclusion really is. So how can we help people understand the subtleties of what inclusion really is? Much broader than equity and fairness, the case for diversity and inclusion is underpinned by our capacity to demonstrate humility, adaptability and courage. To successfully engage and lead people from a diversity of backgrounds and perspectives will require cognitive humility and mental agility. This talk will examine what inclusive behaviour is and how we action and measure it. Leading inclusively is a complex, subtle and challenging project for most individuals and NFP organisations. Come and join us to learn how to help improve your volunteer program, workshop your ideas and improve your funded diversity and inclusion programs. Presenter: Ms Bianca Havas, Senior Consultant – Diversity and Inclusion, Serendis Leadership Consulting Bianca’s breadth of experience and skills as a Program Director and Facilitator has developed over twenty years working in the corporate and non-profit sectors. After a decade as an advocacy campaigner leading complex projects for international environmental organisations including WWF, Greenpeace, International Fund for Animal Welfare and the Australian Conservation Foundation, she transitioned into the field of leadership consulting. She has managed, designed and facilitated programs for corporate executives and non-profit audiences. Bianca has been instrumental in the development and success of Serendis’ cross industry mentoring programs. She has driven the continued professional delivery through her program management and skilled facilitation. Bianca’s passion is to help people reach their full potential in their professional and personal lives using her skills as an executive coach and facilitator. She holds a Bachelor degree in communications and post-graduate qualifications in environmental management. She is a graduate of the Coaching Australia executive coaching program and an accredited facilitator of the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument. The purpose of Serendis is to facilitate positive change at an organisational level. Through consulting and coaching, we support the development of inclusive, ethical and effective leadership practices. Over the last 5 years, Serendis have developed a significant expertise on the issue of gender equality and supported organisations through the required change of culture. We facilitate the most sophisticated cross-industry mentoring programs in Australia. The highly successful Women in Banking & Finance Mentoring Program and Property Council of Australia’s Women in Property Mentoring Program, are two such cross-organisational programs with participants from more than 35 leading organisations in both the Finance and Property industry in Australia. This year we are working with new industries in health and medical research and the drinks industry to deliver further cross-sector mentoring programs. Through our different programs, we have worked with a range of large and medium size organisations. Materials from the workshop will be emailed to attendees after the event where appropriate.
