Emotional Resilience - Course Overview Emotional Resilience is an essential skill that allows people to deal with pressurising situations at work by giving them the tools to reduce their stress levels. Work-related stress, depression or anxiety accounted for 11.3 million lost working days, this on average is 23 days per case. On this Emotional Resilience course in Cardiff you will be introduced to Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), which teaches how to identify, challenge and replace self-defeating thoughts and beliefs with healthier thoughts. REBT has been very successful in reducing stress levels but also has additional benefits of improving problem solving skills through rational thoughts in difficult circumstances. Understanding the causes of a person's stress is key to reducing it, on this course we look in depth at stress triggers. Who should attend? This manual handling training course has been designed for anyone working within an environment where there is a need for the moving and handling of people. It is ideal for anyone working withing the care sector who on a daily basis who use equipment to aid in the process of manual / moving handling of people. It also covers the moving and handling of inanimate loads. Course content The course will cover: Legislation Basic anatomy of the spine Risk assessment Ergonomics Benefit/consequences of manual handling Modules A-F of the All Wales Passport Benefits of the course By attending this course manual handling course, learners will receive a great deal of information to allow them to carry out their roles within their workplaces, safely and efficiently. This qualification is recognised throughout Wales and is part if the minimum standards for CSSIW. Each learner will gain an understanding of using different pieces of equipment for the moving and handling of people.
