What are delegates are saying about our events “ I am a regular attendee at Richard's Business Connected networking events in Essex and Suffolk and can highly recommend them as a superb way of making new contacts and re-acquainting yourself with existing ones. Richard and his team are very friendly and always willing to help point you in the direction of someone specific you would like to meet, or just introducing you generally if you are not an experienced networker. The events are very affordable and, because they are always held first thing, do not cut into your working day. The atmosphere is always relaxed, with the opportunity to circulate before and after the breakfast and to do more one-to-one networking over the always-delicious breakfast itself. I cannot recommend Business Connected highly enough.” Mike Jenner McTear Williams & Wood Limited   “ I have been attending Business Connected meetings for a while and have not only found the meetings very enjoyable but the help that Richard and his staff have given has been very valuable to my business” Wayne Collier Hoskins   “ I have attended the Business Connected events on numerous occasions, mainly in Colchester, Ipswich and Chelmsford. Good organisation, good locations and a decent spread of attendees - both business owners and professionals. Always good events to catch up with existing connections and make new ones. Stuart AgerFinance East   “ For a number of years now I have attended the Business Connected events.. The events are well run, in easy accessible locations in Ipswich, Colchester, Chelmsford and Southend. There is a good mix of business owners and professionals. The format is networking, cooked breakfast and some speakers. I normally come away with some new contacts or some new insights.  It is clear that Richard has developed this concept well, and runs it consistently. Something which is not easy in a time where new networking initiatives are launched dailyHugo HeijBusiness Coach   “Business Connected always facilitates great business events in prestigious venues and I would recommend this networking vehicle to any one in business” Jim Haran Business Bank Exchange

Black Roots

Black Roots are a roots reggae band from the St. Paul's area of Bristol, England formed in 1979. They toured extensively in the UK and Europe in the 1980s and early 1990s releasing several albums and singles during that time before disappearing from the music scene for about ten years. Their comeback began when Soundicate/Makasound, a record label in France, released an album in 2004 and followed it up with another in 2007 (both were compilations made up from their extensive back catalogue). In December 2010 they performed their first live show for some twenty years at the Trinity Hall in Bristol and since then they have been active once again, playing live dates and releasing 3 albums On The Ground, Ghetto Feel and Son of Man..

Tom Stuart-Smith: “Gardens and Culture”

Please join us on Tuesday June 5th at 12 noon to hear the celebrated garden designer, Tom Stuart-Smith talking exclusively at Braxted Park about 'Gardens and Culture'. As Tom says: "Making gardens in different parts of the world has made me realise that our approach to gardening in Britain is both unique and eccentric. I will look at gardens I have made in India, Morocco, the Caribbean and the US in contrast to some of the gardens I have made in the UK, so as to illustrate the different place that gardens occupy in different cultures".   Tickets for the talk are £10 each and must be purchased in advance. The talk is in support of Horatio’s Garden. Entrance to the garden is payable on the day on arrival. This event is part of the NGS Open Garden Day at Braxted Park. The garden is open on 5th June from 10am to 4pm and admission is £5.50 (children free). Light lunches and afternoon teas are available in the Walled Garden Pavilion. Guide dogs only. Braxted Park, Grade II* park of “exceptional significance”, is once again opening its gardens for the NGS. Meander around the parkland’s ponds, lakes and walled gardens, enjoy the long Wisteria broad walk and admire the Mulberry parasol trees which are unique to Braxted. The Head Gardener will be on hand to answer questions and perennials will be on sale in aid of Horatio’s Garden. www.braxtedpark.com
