Seasonal Herbalism - Summer

A series of workshops about using foraged & cultivated herbs as herbal remedies throughout the seasons. The sessions will include a foraging walk, demonstration, herb tasting and remedy making. In this Summer session we will be taking a walk around the herb field at Meadowsweet Organics, which means smelling and tasting lots of herbs with a special focus on the medicinal properties of flowers. We will discuss how to dry your own herbs and flowers for your own herbal blends, as well as making a herbal infused oil and salve.  On Saturday 21st July, the day before, Jeanette from Weaving Wild will be running a foraging basket making workshop on the farm, with an option to camp over and link into the Seasonal Herbalism on Sunday and use your basket! Festival player theatre: The Winters Tale

The Festival Players Theatre Company is a professional theatre company delivering the best in open-air Shakespeare, committed to presenting the very best in touring theatre. This years production will be THE WINTER'S TALE. Written by Shakespeare in his later years, The Winter’s Tale is an intriguing mix of drama and comedy. Sparked by an obsessive envy of a perceived relationship between his Queen and his oldest friend, Leontes, King of Sicilia, sets in motion a train of events which affect two kingdoms and two generations; there is jealousy and joy, revenge and romance, loss and discovery, remorse and revelry, and an amazing revelation. Tremendous entertainment for a Summer evening! Please remember to bring with you your own seating, rugs, and warm, rainproof clothing.
