Professional Portrait Photography Workshop for Beginners

This event is specifically intended to teach you how to create stunning portrait images while shooting outdoors. Shooting locations are usually held in Clackmannanshire County and mostly in the towns of Clackmannan, Alva, Alloa or Dollar. A professional model will assist us at each workshop to give you an added experience in working with live motion photography and ensuring that at the end of this workshop you will have a beautiful collection of shots to add to your growing portfolio. At this workshop, several things can be guaranteed, a friendly atmosphere, lots of fun, practical exchange of photography advices and breathtaking sceneries... Everything you need to enjoy your passion for photography on a stress-free Sunday.   FAQs   Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? Yes, you must be minimum 18 to attend this workshop and I need to see an ID showing your date of birth. What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event? Meeting point will be at the Alloa Train Station parking lot so no matter if you are driving or coming by train, all participants can meet at the same easy point. From there, we'll reach by car our location spot of the day for which I know very well the available parking areas. What can I bring into the event? Your camera first ;-) which ideally should be a Mirrorless or DSLR. If you have a flash (not a obligation but can be useful) bring in it with you. Don't forget your batteries and memory cards! Dressing code is of course "Casual' and the one thing very important is to wear easy and good walking shoes as we may have to walk a bit on the Countryside. A raincoat might be wise to also have with you consireding our ever changing Scottish weather. A good idea should be to also bring with you some snacks and drinks as we may stay not very close to shops for a few hours.  How can I contact the organiser with any questions? The most easy way should be by using the "Contact the Organiser" function from this website but you may also want to use my contact form directly on my website at http://www.jeremylavender.photography/contact What's the refund policy? Basically there is no refund at all so you must be sure to assist the workshop when buying your ticket. In fact, there are associated costs to run this workshop with no possible refund either so this is the main reason for this strict policy. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? It should be great but not an obligation as long as you have an ID with you.   Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable? It is not supposed to be at first but to compensate the fact that there is no refund available and considering unfortunate things may happen, I will allow a transferrable ticket in the case of a major situation. The major situation to be defined and/or accepted at the sole discretion of the organiser but for example, a broken leg or arm will of course do it. In this case, and only after approval of the organiser, you must let me know of all details about the person holding the transferred ticket and assisting the event. Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends? In exceptional situation as described above, yes it can be OK. But, once again, transferring a ticket to someone else has to be accepted first by the organiser and also few days before the day of the event itself.

Integrating Drama & Performance With Nature

Nationally, participation in the arts is dropping each year, and connection with wildlife is also suffering with 7 out of 10 feeling out of touch with nature. Integrating these aspects for children in a natural setting can have positive results, both in terms of offering a more liberating and imaginative setting and including educational elements of science and nature. This workshop is designed to give you the tools to plan outdoor sessions with groups with knowledge of how to integrate local wildlife into lesson plans. Feel confident in identifying aspects of the outdoors, to be able to incorporate native wildlife, trees and flowers into acting based activities. Throughout the workshop there will be a chance to try out various warm-up activities, concentration games, imagination exercises, storytelling and character work, plus access to various resources in nature identification, citizen science, theatre and literature which can form part of a lesson programme. We will cover issues such as public speaking, shyness, confidence building and anxiety issues in young people, with the outdoors being an ideal setting to work towards overcoming some of these challenges. There will be an indoor introduction and discussion followed by a longer practical session outdoors. Experience Level - No experience required. What to bring with you – Pen and paper, packed lunch, water, suitable outdoor footwear/jacket Location – TCV Scotland, Balallan House, 24 Allan Park, Stirling FK8 2QG Catering – Please bring a packed lunch
