Advanced Prop Star


This CPD is aimed at senior player's and coaches, the delivery will include a short indoor module that will set the premise for the outdoor practice. The CPD will be an hour and a half, with a short space allocated at the end for Q & A. (Although questions will be encouraged throughout!) The content for the evening:  What do we do at the Scrum - hit, and hope or do we have a purpose? Scrum with and without the ball Front row roles and responsibilities during attacking and defensive scrum. What kind of scrum works where? (pitch specific delivery) Attacking options off a defensive scrum! Back row & front row who needs who? Delivery on the night will be Tim Reed (RFU Community Rugby Coach, Level 3 Coach) David Marshall (RFU Community Rugby Coach, Ex Wasps player) Glenn Remnant (Ex-All Black, Rotherham, Cornish All Blacks, Cambridge)

SPCN Family Fun Day


Suffolk Parent Carer Network (SPCN) is hosting a Family Fun Day for members of SPCN.   Children and young people between 8 and 18 can take part in a range of activities including climbing wall, tree climbing, zip wire, fan descender, archery, tree trekking and cycling. For younger children there will be face painting, bouncy castle, treasure hunt and balloon modeller.  Also available will be a Music Workshop, Quiet Rooms, Colouring Table and Canoeing. The zip-wire will have a dedicated 10am-12pm slot specifically for children/young people who are wheelchair users or severely sight impaired – if you want to use this slot must select this option when booking the child/young person ticket. Hot and cold drinks will be provided by SPCN throughout the day.  There will be a food van on site where you can buy breakfast, lunch and sweet treats There will be a range of organisations on site who would be more than happy to explain what information and services they provide for children, young people and families. Unfortunately, a large number of families who booked tickets did not turn up last year which prevented families on the waiting list from being able to attend.  Therefore this year we will charge £5 per ticket and you will receive a £3 credit voucher for the food van when you check in on the day with the SPCN team.   Anyone can be a member of SPCN who is or has been a parent/carer/grandparent/foster carer or guardian of a child or young person with additional needs and/or disability aged 0-25.   You can become a member of SPCN here http://spcn.org.uk/contacts/have-your-say/  If you are not a member of  SPCN we reserve the right to cancel your ticket(s).
