Emotional Resilience - Course Overview Emotional Resilience is an essential skill that allows people to deal with pressurising situations at work by giving them the tools to reduce their stress levels. Work-related stress, depression or anxiety accounted for 11.3 million lost working days, this on average is 23 days per case. On this Emotional Resilience course in Cardiff you will be introduced to Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), which teaches how to identify, challenge and replace self-defeating thoughts and beliefs with healthier thoughts. REBT has been very successful in reducing stress levels but also has additional benefits of improving problem solving skills through rational thoughts in difficult circumstances. Understanding the causes of a person's stress is key to reducing it, on this course we look in depth at stress triggers. However, in extreme circumstances we would consider finding an alternative date for you to take your course.    Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? Renishaw Engineering Workshops for Schools (South Wales)


For students at schools throughout South Wales, Renishaw's education outreach workshops provide an exciting hands-on experience of real-world engineering.  For teachers, they offer an ideal opportunity to pro-actively engage classes in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) subjects. Held at our state-of-the-art Fabrication Development Centre (FDC) in Miskin, our half-day and full-day workshops are completely free and can even be tailored to meet the needs of individual school curricula. With strong core curriculum links, the workshops offer a range of different engineering oriented activities including: An introduction to engineering at Renishaw (KS 2 & 3) Technology Teardown (KS3) 3D printing and computer aided design (KS 2, 3 & 4) BBC Micro:bit programming (KS 2 & 3) C++ software coding of RenBed buggy (KS 3 & 4) Using ICT to create sound KS 2) Building Electronic circuits (KS2) RGB Light sequences - learn to solder (KS 3 & 4) Friction & Forces workshop (KS 2) LED Fidget spinner soldering work shop (KS 3) All of the above workshops can be found on our education webpages www.renishaw.com/educationoutreach  Pupils will be split into two groups of 15 (30 maxium on site at once) they will change over half way through the day so both groups take part in the workshop. The course is specifically designed to provide learners with the skills and knowledge required to deliver manual handling training to their own staff.Therefore this course is ideal for those wishing to deliver a high standard of moving and handling training to others. IOSH Certified Course Menter has worked closely with the Institution of Occupational Health and Safety (IOSH) to develop a course which this prestigious awarding body was happy to put their name to. Course Content The course covers: Teaching skills – To be able to train to an audience Theory based information relating to the All Wales Passport Scheme Practical elements relating to the All Wales Passport Scheme Micro-teach Examination Benefits of the course By attending this course learners will receive a great deal of information to enable them to train in-house to their own employees. The course will provide the learners with a training pack to equip them with the ability to produce their own training courses. On successful completion of the course each delegate will receive a Train The Trainer certificate. This certificate will not allow you to deliver an IOSH accredited course but to deliver your own personally developed Train the Trainer course.
