French Fun Conversation Club Newquay (Intermediate)


A local conversation club in a friendly atmosphere... Grab a drink and a cake, have a good time while practising your French with a fun French native and like-minded people :-) This is a taster session at discounted rate of £5.82. After the session, you will have the opportunity to book your 5 week course at £10 a session, on a first come, first served basis! Outstanding Care Planning 2-day Workshop: East Cornwall - 23rd October & 28th November 2018


** PLEASE NOTE THAT VENUE HAS CHANGED FROM THE LISKERRETT CENTRE, LISKEARD TO THE LOSTWITHIEL COMMUNITY CENTRE** This is a 2-day programme (each day is a month apart) and there is an expectation that participants will carry out work between day 1 and day 2. The first date will be a full day, followed by the second date which will only be a half day session. Ideally, two people from each organisation should attend, but it will not prevent you from joining on the course if there is only one from an organisation.  There are a maximum of 16 places (from 8 organisations) on each course. Both dates must be attended. **23rd October (full day) & 28 November (half day)** Aim:  To support those involved in care and support planning to undertake outstanding care planning, which leads to the best and most effective outcomes for those individuals who use care and support services. Learning Outcomes:  By the end of the workshop participants will have had the opportunity to: 1. Explore what outstanding care planning looks like 2. Explore how to actively involve those people who use services (and those close to them) in making decisions about their care and support plans 3. Explore how to achieve highly personalised care approaches which will deliver effective outcomes for those people who use services 4. Identify how their new learning will positively improve their practice, what they will do differently and how it will benefit the individuals they support 5. Complete a care plan for someone using their new/improved knowledge, skills and personalised care approach which will then be assessed by the programme leader/s. This will be carried out in the participants own work place and presented back on day 2. The cost is £81.44 per person, but includes both days. Course Overview This intensive photography workshop will give participants the chance to experiment with Close up Macro photography with an amazing choice of exotic plants at Eden project getting closer to them with specialist Macro lenses and specialist lighting learn about the different Plants and habitat  throught photography. This workshop includes a introduction to macro photography and paterns and shapes in nature wihich will give you some knowledge on the Fibonacci sequence and how it relates to composition and photography. These will form the basis of the start of the Macro close up photography day.  Participants will use digital SLR cameras and use professional photographic lenses and lighting. You will learn more the mathamatics of plants,the naturally occuring patterns in nature, and have the chance to ask questions to the trained staff on the day. Photographically you will learn how to take stunning close up photographs of exotic plants capturing tiny details that will appear larger than life.  This is an amazing opportunity to see  three climatic zones and nearly two million plants, Eden never fails to provide anything less than a jaw-dropping horticultural extravaganza throughout the year. You will get up close to some of the plants in the  Rainforest Canopy Walkway provides access to life in the forest canopy, with its splendid collection of orchids, and our quirky luffa vines are in fruit.
