Tea & Talk: I Spy: The OM Photo Collection

On last Sunday of the month, join the OM for afternoon tea. Enjoy your tea and scones while our Visitor Hosts lead engaging historical discussions. Many photos that exist in the world are of mundane events and simple people, places and things – until you zoom in on the photo! A curious, odd and exciting world opens up when you look a little closer. Using photos from the Museum’s Archival collection, we will look at early photo bombs, crude photo shopping, and even clear up some long-standing myths about Robinson House. Tea and scones will be served at 1 pm. Lecture to begin shortly after Reservations are required as space is limited. Call 905-436-7624 x 106 to book your spot.

Sunday FUNday - Bonnets and Breeches

Children in the nineteenth century had much different lives than children in the twenty first century. Kids were not allowed to be kids. There was very little or no time at all for playing or being silly. They were expected to be seen and not heard. Kids can spend the afternoon dressing up like Victorian children and have their photos taken by the Museum! Sunday FUNdays are held on the first Sunday of the month. Admission is free and allows you to interact with Museum staff and its collection. 12 - 4 pm in the Verna Conant Gallery at Guy House.
