Conversation Cafe - ADHD


Our next family engagement Conversation Cafe is on Wed 12th Dec  6pm – 7pm in the Library. The topic this session is ADHD. This is an opportunity for any parent or carer who has a child with ADHD (or if you are worried that your child may have ADHD) to come along and meet other parents to chat over cake and cuppa about how ADHD affects your child, share experiences and receive support. Support for Learning staff will be present to answer any of your questions, particularly with regards to ADHD in school and someone from the Perth ADHD Support Group will also be present to answer any questions and share information.

Climate Challenge Fund Awards 2018


About the CCF Awards Evening  Perth Concert Hall will host the Climate Challenge Fund Awards on the evening of Wednesday 12 December.  The CCF Awards will celebrate the dedication and achievements of projects funded through the Scottish Government's Climate Challenge Fund. In addition to the Awards presentation, the Awards evening will feature Guest Speaker, Heather Reid, a sustainably sourced buffet dinner and drinks, plus plenty of time to network. Tickets to the Awards are free and open to CCF Grant Recipients and representatives of other organisations with an interest in taking community-led action on climate change.  We have organised the CCF Awards as part of our management of the CCF of behalf of the Scottish Government. We have managed the CCF since it was established in 2008 and are committed to empowering many more communities across Scotland to take action on climate change. We see this as part of our work to make Scotland clean, green and sustainable. Nature tots: Helping animals through winter


Come along with your budding wildlife adventurers for a journey through the seasons. This popular monthly event, for families with children aged 5 and under, starts with a story and is packed with creative ideas and surprises; getting you outside and playing in nature. The reserve is well signposted two miles east of Junction 5 of the M90. Once on the slip road, turn left if coming from the north (Perth), turn right if coming from the south (Edinburgh), then take a left turn and then a right turn onto the B9097, signposted Scotlandwell and Glenrothes. Drive for approximately two miles. The nature centre car park is on the south (right) side of the road. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? You don't need to bring your ticket to the reserve - we have a list and will know to expect you. Kinross Curling- Training Day (Video Analysis)


Have you ever seen yourself Curl before? Do you want to improve and see yourself improve? This is the session for you! This session gives you an opportunity to work with coaches using cameras and lasers and then talk through the footage with them. They will be able to slow down the footage and analyse every aspect of your delivery or sweeping.  This is a form of training used by all elite curlers but is very useful to all levels of the sport. Session 4 of 7. This session has a cost of £6, payable on arrival. We are anticipating a big interest in this as it is something not commonly offered, so book fast to avoid disappointment.
