Traditional Christmas Wreath Making Workshop

Workshop Dates: Saturday 1st December: 1-3.30pm Sunday 2nd December, 1-3.30pm Thursday 6th December, 10am-12.30pm Saturday 15th December, 9.30am - 12pm and 1-3.30pm Sunday 16th December, 9.30am - 12pm and 1-3.30pm Saturday 22nd December. 1.30-3.30pm Location: Applefield Smallholding, 23 Chalk Lane, Sidlesham, PO20 7LW Who is this for...? A workshop for adults. What to expect....? Our popular traditional wreath making workshops are designed for the complete novice and also those who have some experience. You will spend a relaxed few hours learning how to make your very own traditional Christmas wreath to adorn your door. You will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of traditional wreath making, from mossing the ring through to decorating the wreath to your desired taste. Advise will also be given on how to look after your wreath once at home to keep it looking in perfect condition throughout the festive period. There will also be complementary snacks, mulled wine or spiced apple juice to enjoy throughout the session and help to get us all in the Christmas spirit. Places on our wreath making workshops are limited to 10 people ensuring there is enough time to spend helping people to create their perfect wreath.   About our wreaths.... Our wreaths are made on moss rings and are created from traditional natural foraged materials such as Holy, Ivy, Conifer, Pittosporum etc, decorated with dried fruits, cones, berries, dried teasels and poppy heads etc and finished with a choice of natural Hessian ribbon.   What to bring with you? Please bring with you a fairly well fitting pair of gardening gloves or thick marigolds, if your gloves are too big it can be hard to feel your way around your moss ring. Holy is prickly so gloves are an essential item to bring. Please also bring a pair of secateurs that you are familiar with using, everything else you will need to create your wreath will be supplied for you.   A Little About Your Wreath Tutor! I have been making and teaching people of all abilities to make traditional Christmas wreaths for about 12 years. Wreath making is a fun and festive activity and I thought all should be given the opportunity to learn to make their own wreaths, open to all who wish to have a go!! Price: £30.00 (not including eventbrite fee) price includes all materials to make your wreath, mulled wine or spiced apple juice and snacks. We can also arrange private wreath making workshops for family and friends and we can run these at your home or at our workshop site. There is a minimum booking of 8 people for these workshops and are £30.00 per person. If this is something that interests you, please contact us with your preferred date, time and whether you would like to use our workshop or your own home. Comedy All Stars Christmas Shows!

Local award winning comedian brings two nights of hilarity for the Christmas shows on Friday 14th December and Saturday 15th December! Opening the show is Jarred Christmas! The New Zealander has taken the comedy world by storm since his arrival from the other side of the world, and now performs all over the globe, and you'll have seen him as Madonna in Let's Dance For Sport Relief, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Mock The Week, Argumental and Russell Howard's Good News. Next up is Marlon Davis. Marlon was asked to be on The Lenny Henry Birthday Show on BBC1 very recently, and has also been on the latest series of Live At The Comedy Store on Comedy Central, Chris Ramsay's Stand Up Central and BBC's Live At The Apollo, and you'll be seeing lots more of him in 2019, but for now you can see him live in Horndean! Headlining both nights is the one and only Lee Nelson. Lee needs no introduction with numerous TV series to his name, of his own show, and so many TV appearances we'd need an extra website to list them all! He came down in 2016, and tickets sold out in just a few weeks, so we've got him back for two nights to make sure everyone gets to see this legend in action! With the usual hotdogs, popcorn, and sweets in the foyer, a cheap bar, and the most festive decorations, trees and shenanigans you could hope for, its the perfect Christmas get together for you and your work friends, family or just a mates get together! Tickets also available from The Old English Sweet Company in Waterlooville Precinct, Discover Wine in Denmead, Horndean Technology College, Cloisters Cafe in Petersfield Square and Bowlers Cafe in Havant Park. www.comedy-allstars.co.uk
