England Golf Performance Conference


Following on from last years success, once again we’re hosting the end of year performance conference and awards dinner at Woodhall Spa. It's an opportunity to celebrate an excellent year of individual and team performances from our National and Regional players whilst helping everyone to discuss and upgrade our coaching offer. With this in mind, we’ll be hosting a series of both theoretical and practical workshops to help support the delivery of our programmes.  This focussed training for all coaches, managers and specialists investigates how we design and deliver outstanding squad coaching sessions that: Improve our core priority areas Meet the individual needs of each player Create coaching opportunities Keep the sessions fun, interactive and engaging What to expect For everyone, This year we have a number of keynote and mini sessions from Prof Dave Collins from Grey Matters, Graeme Leslie (GDL) and Guy Richardson from Eiger Performance. For over a period of 30 years, Guy Richardson has been developing and leading High Performance Teams. He was an officer in the British Army for 20 years and in 2004 joined The Scottish Rugby Union as the National Team Manager. Following this in 2010, Guy became the Director of Operations for The British and Irish Lions Rugby Team, a job in which he was accountable for everything off the field of play. Coaches There will be the opportunity to share best practice and practically experience a number coaching ideas based around our priority areas. The national leads will also help everyone understand and experience new ways to develop our future players. S&C Team The S&C Team working with Dan and Nick will be with us on Monday 19th for a series of workshops at the academy and jointly for Dave Collins. Managers Manager specific sessions from Dave Collins on PCDE's, DISE requirements, Anti-doping and the health and well-being of the players will enable everyone to come together to develop a winning and supportive culture.    The Awards dinner This year we will once again have the opportunity to celebrate individual and team performances through our awards. Doing It Differently Parent Carer Training - (for Telford and Wrekin Parents and Carers)


Training is hosted by the Face 2 Face Befriending Scheme for Parents and Carers from Telford and Wrekin - Must be able to commit to all three sessions. "Doing it Differently" Presented by Lee Burden (an expert in the field of autism) and Paula Holden (from Touch The Spectrum) Doing it Differently, is a course that will be delievered across 3 sessions (you must be able to attend all three sessions) Based upon tried and tested strategies for supporting your child with a low arousal approach. Including understanding autism, motivation, managing the tough stuff and incorporating it all into real, everyday life. Fostering Information Evening - Boston


Come and find out about becoming a foster carer at our information evening.  The event will cover: What is fostering / different types of foster care The process to become a foster carer Talks from some of our experienced approved foster carers The support and rewards to foster carers from Lincolnshire Fostering Service The views of young people and children who are, or have been, in care Whilst there are many different types of foster care you can do, in Lincolnshire there is an urgent need of foster carers to look after: Teenagers Children who need to be cared for long-term (also known as Permanent Fostering, which is usually until independence) Brothers and sisters who need to be kept together Children with additional needs Foster carers talking at the event will be sharing their experiences of caring for one or more of these groups of children.
