This workshop, drawing from techniques developed by Dell’arte International, will return the artist to the fundamentals, to take inspiration from the enduring reality of the natural environment. THE WORKSHOP – this is about what you will get The actor will be immersed in exercises that will develop awareness, availability and responsiveness to the world around, to each other and to themselves. The work will include natural movement, training in observation and physical integration. Participants will also be involved with game playing, that is to say, as part of “re-creation” there will be a connection with the playful self, that leads to the arrival of created material through action and play. The workshop is within a rural setting in order that the artist/actor can have a time for reflection, contemplation and the re-discovery of the creative self. What tools will I leave with The participants will leave the workshop refreshed and inspired to continue to create with a playful rigor. It will help to refocus the artist and give strategies to find the creative, resourceful self even when in the noisy, tumultuous turmoil of the everyday. Is this for ME? The workshop is designed for actor/artists and creator/performers who want to expand and evolve their own perspective. It is a place to listen to their own needs and discover the agency to act on it. Meet the teachers James Peck He has taught collaborative creation at Dell’arte International for 10 years where he has also taught play, physical comedy and acting.
