We Love Peterborough Businesses Meeting

We Love Peterborough Businesses is an open business event all about business development, we don't have any 'lock-out' because someone runs the same or similar businesses as yourself. Our meetings are about offering advice, tips, tricks of the trade, information and guidance in order to help you grow your business and to develop at the pace you want. This can be anything from how to set up your Facebook page, how to take professional-looking images, how to deal with staff issues, accountancy issues, motivation and ideas, to how to sell online. You don't have to come alone you can bring a friend, and you don't have to own your business - it's about sharing our skills, telling people what we know and getting great help from business professionals which have been through and have the experience. Our meetings will give you the opportunity to sit alongside like-minded business owners, independents or freelancers just like you. You don't have to stand up and give any talks yourself, you can simply sit back, listen and take away from it what you need to. Our business meeting format is: Introduction by We Love Peterborough Businesses. Main Speaker - Different topic each meeting. Q&A Session - asking the speaker questions relevant to your business. Speaker Offer - a special offer just for attending today's meeting. Additional VIP speaker (on occasion) - businesses which are offering something to Peterborough. Mixology - Giving you the chance to chat over a coffee or a drink at the end of the meeting. This month's speaker will be PHILIP FEMMINILE, he will be presenting to you about business staff - employees. Whether you're independent and thinking of getting an assistant or someone you need to help you take the workload or if you already have staff working for you... Human Resources is a minefield which we certainly can't look after ourselves. Philip will be giving you advice on just what is needed to help you and your business run smoothly.  Additional speaker: JIM HARVEY -FREE parking -Food included

The NHS Long Term Plan : A Conversation

Do you want to shape the future of the NHS? Peterborough has been selected as 1 of 4 locations in the UK to have the opportunity to make a difference. Please come to a conversation about the NHS Long-Term Plan, hear about what is planned, and have your voice heard!  The NHS has just celebrated its 70th birthday. A lot has changed since it was created in 1948, and the NHS is having to cope with changes in society that were never expected, let alone planned for, when it was set up 70 years ago.   BUT! The NHS is also a dynamic and innovative institution, that has continuously evolved over the last 70 years. Those who use it and work in it know that evolution needs to continue if the changing needs of patients are to be met.    We now know that the NHS will receive guaranteed budget increases for the next five years so it can think about how it will work towards improvements in services, which will mean delivering more for patients with that money than it would have otherwise been able to.   To achieve this, the NHS is now working on a plan for the next ten years, and it is vital that all those who work in or alongside the NHS can contribute ideas, experiences and insights.   This event, run by PCVS, together with NCVO and NHS England, will gather views of people from local charities. A senior-level colleague from NHS England will be present. This event is looking at the England-wide 10-year plan for the NHS. We will not be discussing local issues.
