NAS South West Conference

We would like to invite you and your committee (max of 5) to attend this year’s Branch Conferences which will be taking place across the country. NAS Branch Conferences are a great opportunity to hear about the latest updates and developments within NAS as well as the latest on our work around the country. This year we will have updates from Director of External Affairs, Jane Harris, Head of Campaigns and Public Engagement, Tom Purser, as well as discussions led by the Branches and Community Engagement Manager, Henry Barnes, and your local Branch Development Officer. We will be talking about the organisation as a whole, our new brand and new look, GDPR and the recent changes to the Branch Support team.   Branch Conferences are also a fantastic chance to meet other Branches, to share ideas, reflect on successes and to get to know the other people and branches in your part of the country. All Branch Chairs and Branch Treasurers are very welcome to come along, and we’re happy to have a few committee members along as well.  We’ll be able to repay reasonable travel expenses so that you don’t have to shoulder the cost of getting there. If you have any questions about the conferences at all, please contact either [email protected] or [email protected] who are organising the events.   All Branch Conferences will run from 10am until 2pm with an option of staying around for another hour until 3pm to network with others or discuss concerns or ideas with NAS staff.

Bridgwater's Breakfast Club with Speaker Pam Knight

Data Driven Digital Marketing There is more information at your fingertips than you probably know; information that will feed your company’s success if used correctly. Pam will take you on a whistle stop tour of some of the digital information around that will help inform your business decisions. She will give you insight into your company website and how well it is performing, explain how you can find out what  digital barriers you  may have going forward and what to do about them. AND finally, how to check how well you are doing against your competitors with your website! Digital data drives digital marketing – find out if you are using yours as well as you could be About Speaker Pam has worked in the field of Marketing and Business Development for over 30 years. Her career started at the Daily Express within the advertising department and later led to heading a special publications unit specialising in direct mail business magazines. From there Pam launched several new titles into very competitive markets. There followed a period of working in the public sector assisting companies in their early development followed by 12 years in the third sector at Director level leading teams to meet annual fundraising targets of over £4m. Pam wrote her first website using basic coding 21 years ago and has embraced the digital world ever since. An early adopter, Pam began integrating Digital with Traditional marketing channels soon after. Data and metrics have always been a driving force for her, with digital offering a chance to learn more about customer profiles quicker than market research. She continued to develop this approach when she launched White Knight Marketing 7 years ago and now works with companies large and small, predominantly in Somerset. Pam is a Fellow of the Institute of Direct and Digital Marketing and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
