The Breakfast club for Business Networking


The Breakfast Club is an established (est 2001) business networking group which provides a fun and supportive opportunity for businesses in and around Brighton and Hove to gain more business, to learn how to network more effectively and to learn from each other.We meet on a Tuesday morning in Hove at The Courtland's Hotel starting at 7.15 am and finishing at 8.45 am. This is a non-profit making club so there are no joining fees! If you choose to join you just pay a monthly subscription to cover your breakfast each week. Get an insider's view Come on a campus tour to get an insiders’ view of our Chichester campus.  The tours last about an hour and are open to anybody thinking of studying here, and their guests - so you are very welcome to bring along family and friends. What to expect Campus tours are a great way to get a feel for University of Chichester.  Run regularly throughout the year in small groups, these tours are a perfect opportunity to find out more about living and studying at Chichester.  A member of our team will take you around the campus and show you our dynamic learning spaces, including the innovative social learning spaces and our refurbished Learning Resource Centres. See You Next Tuesday! Comedy Open Mic & New Material Night


See You Next Tuesday! is the leading stand up new material an open mic night on the South Coast run in an independent venue and attended by professionals, semi professionals and amateurs. A fast paced, new material open mic comedy night. Come and watch some of the best comics on the open circuit live or die. Hilarious or painful but never mediocre! Doors open 7pm, event starts 8pm. 1 free drink per audience member. You can buy advance tickets online.. You need an advanced ticket to enter as spaces are limited but you can pay on the door. Pre-paid tickets are cheaper than pre-booked tickets.The format of the night is up to 15 comedians per event, with each comedian getting a 5 min slot to try out their best new material. Occasionally TV comics and top names pop in to test stuff out.Inclusive and friendly, this is also where we find acts for our paid gigs on the weekends and for Brighton Fringe Festival, etc.. It is a great night to try out some of your newest material or just come down to support others and enjoy the intimate environment.

Creative writing taster workshop - 24 October


Come join a taster creative writing workshop and get tips on how to write your own Sussex-inspired story, whether that's a true life story or a piece of fiction or poetry.  Our experienced writing teacher Umi Sinha will give you some guidance to help you get started.  Suitable for beginners, open to all levels.  £10 | £5 concession for unemployed, low waged, OAP, students (please bring proof of concession) We have 1-2 free sponsored places - please get in touch & we will try to help ([email protected]) 12 spaces max  Devised by Writing Our Legacy, the programme is part of a wider project seeking to capture people’s stories about coming to or growing up in Sussex and will form the first Hidden Sussex anthology, due to be published in June 2019 and supported by Arts Council England. People living in East and West Sussex and Brighton to share their writing, stories and memories of Sussex. In particular we are looking for writing from the Black and ethnic minority community (BME). Funded by Arts Council England National Lottery Project Grant

Craft Class: Weave a Scaredy Cat - Evening


Welcome to our Weave a Scaredy Cat Class with Space for Wellbeing! Come and weave a Scaredy Cat from natural materials. Use this Cat in your Garden to scare the mice! Our resident Crafter will demonstrate the techniques you need to construct the Scaredy Cat so you can take your Cat home and bring lots of luck to your outside space for wellbeing. You will have a fun, relaxing, learning experience amongst friendly good spirited, cat loving folk. Suitable for absolutely all abilities and completely inclusive.
