FREE Business Start Right Workshops - Bury St Edmunds

Free Business Start Right Programme  Are you thinking about starting up a business, or in the process of setting one up - or even at 'test trading' stage?  If so, then Menta has a limited number of spaces on a programme of support funded by the EU (take this opportunity whilst it lasts!).    This is the first of 3 workshops covering Starting your Business  - you can also book yourself now onto the Business Start Right Workshop 2: 'Marketing' and the Business Start Right Workshop 3: 'Book Keeping & Self Assessment'.   These take place in Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich on a range of dates and booking is availble through the Menta website (same place you found this workshop). IT/Digital Sector Insight Day (For Students in Years 10/11)

OPEN TO SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN ESSEX, EXCLUDING LONDON BOROUGHS - APPLICATIONS FROM OUTSIDE AREA MAY BE POLITELY DECLINED! As part of the Essex Employment and Skills Board's 'Education and Industry STEM Programme', Colchester Institute and the ESB's Programme team are working together to put on this event aiming to highlight the range of careers and learning options available in Essex, in and related to the IT/Digital sector. The day will consist of a mixture of  interactive and engaging industry-led workshops, and presentations from Colchester Institute and University staff. The success of the day will be measured in terms of number of students progressing in the future to jobs and/or courses in or related to the IT/Digital sector. Ideally students should be on course for or have achieved 5 Grade 4 passes at GCSE, including Maths and English. Students should bring their own packed lunch on the day and there will be cold drinks provided throughout. There will also be tea and coffee served for teaching staff accompanying their students. PLEASE NOTE: The ESB's Education and Industry STEM Programme will support the costs incurred by schools transporting their students to and from Colchester Institute. Bach and Buxtehude at Easter | Colchester Chamber Choir

Featuring two great Easter cantatas: Bach’s Christ lag in Todesbanden, BWV 4 and Buxtehude’s Heut triumphieret Gottes Sohn, BuxWV 43, the Colchester Chamber Choir makes a welcome return to St Edmundsbury Cathedral. Accompanied by some of the country’s finest young baroque players (strings, trumpets, continuo and timpani) from the Royal Academy of Music, the choir will also sing Bach’s motet Lobet den Herrn, and three other works by Buxtehude; his Magnificat, the Passiontide cantata Jesu, meines Lebens Leben and the joyous Alleluia (from Der Herr ist mit mir). Richard Moore, organ, will play some of Bach’s and Buxtehude’s great Easter chorale preludes. Roderick Earle directs.

Welcome to the Triscape Masterclass series, in association with The Great Swim Series & The Royal Hospital School. This masterclass series is aimed at helping the experienced swimmer to become more confident, more efficient and faster in the water! We have teamed up with The Great Swim Series to encourage more and more people to take up an open water swimming challenge and believe with a bit of expert coaching you will gain the confidence to take on that outdoor swimming challenge! During the session we will go through each stage of the Straight-Line Swimming method: breathing, position & movement, aiming to make you a more confident and efficient swimmer.  We head back to the classroom with a round up of everything learnt during the day. Here is your chance to ask any questions you have about swimming from nutrition, wetsuit fittings, to mentally preparing for your next swimming challenge.
