I am registered as a Clinical Psychologist, Independent Practice with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (PS 0106704) and consult both within organisations and independently in private practice.
I am interested in treatment and containment of the following:
 Psychiatric conditions (depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, post traumatic stress, post-psychosis support)
 Interpersonal / relational difficulties
 Adjustment to Motherhood, antenatal & postnatal transitions, pregnancy complications (infertility, miscarriage / postnatal depression, adjustment difficulties, difficulties dealing with twins etc)
 Bereavement and loss
 Rape trauma, drawing on experience of working with Rape Crisis
 Medical psychology – dealing with difficulties related to newly diagnosed conditions, drawing from experience of working at Panorama Medi-clinic
I work from a supportive base offering containment to clients experiencing psychological distress. Although I am interested in working psycho-dynamically, I have extensive experience working from a cognitive-behavioural perspective. Depending on the presenting problem, the level of distress experienced and the clients’ needs, my aim is to work collaboratively with clients to come up with a treatment plan that they feel would work for them. |
