Cotton On to launch a new music and fashion hub in the Mall of Africa

On Thursday, 28 April, the world’s largest Cotton On store will open with a bang in Johannesburg’s brand new Mall of Africa, featuring a hive of activity and awesome beats brought to you by local DJ’s and WeHeartBeats. South Africa’s latest Cotton On store holds the title of the brand’s largest retail space in the world to date. For the first time, your shopping experience will be taken to an all new level with a pop-up music hub curated by WeHeartBeat in-store. The Beat Lounge will host a permanent DJ booth curated by BeatOn, giving shoppers the opportunity to listen to the best emerging DJ talent season to season. This weekend, Freddie Joachim from L.A’s Mellow Orange Crew is first up on the line-up following with Raiko, KidFonque and Rosie Parade. The new store is now the ideal meeting spot for music lovers and fashionistas to connect, alongside local DJ’s performing in-store. Cotton On BODY will be running customisation activities, and yoga classes, whereby Rubi introduces its very own nail bar, to name a few. Denim Walk to Raise Funds and Awareness for Rare Diseases

The countdown to the Rare Diseases South Africa Denim Walk has officially begun. In association with the Genetic Alliance South Africa, the event is taking place on 23 February 2019 at the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens in support of those affected by rare diseases or at risk of genetic disorders. The Denim Walk will see members of the rare disease community - from patients and their families, to researchers and policy makers - join together with the public and raise funds and awareness for a worthy cause. Friends and family from the community are encouraged to get outdoors and show you ‘Care for Rare’ by taking part in the 1.5km route (wheelchair friendly), 5km hiking trail as well a cross-country running path offering amateurs and experts an opportunity to get involved. A market, including arts and crafts stalls and food stands with picnic areas will offer visitors an area to relax. Tickets* will be on sale from January 2019 from the Rare Diseases South Africa website: www.rarediseases.co.za, costing adults R100 per entry and R50 for children under 12. Kids under 6-years-old enter free of charge and T-shirts will be on sale to further drive crowd-funding. His love for processes and quality assurance systems resulted in him working for Alusaf in Richardsbay as Process Specialist responsible for commissioning of a new Aluminum Smelter.   He later joined Eskom and rose in the ranks in the engineering and operations. When Eskom took a decision to bring back the mothballed power stations, Molefe-Isaac took the opportunity and became the Commercial manager at Grootvlei Power station. That resulting in him having to look at different processes and business models in the Supply Chain and contracting to ensure smooth return to service of the station.   His fascination with business processes and business enhancements was further sparked by working for CSIR, Gauteng Provincial Treasury, and now the National Treasury. He has a qualification in engineering and a Master of Commerce (MCom) in Business Management.
