Huzzah! Summer days are here again... Silent Summer Screenings are coming to Winchester Road Recreation Ground this summer with live music and a fun-filled movie for you to enjoy. Using wireless headphones for all of the event's sound, turns these evenings into a memorable night of dancing, laughing and singing under the stars.  Doors Open: 7:55 pm Live Music Starts: 8:25 pm Film Start (approx): 9:25 pm Event Finish (approx): 11:45 pm (in case you want to book a taxi!) Bohemian Rhapsody rating is 12A IMPORTANT We require a £10 refundable CASH deposit on the night for the wireless headphones. Headphones will be provided from the marquee once you're checked in and have been scanned. Deposits are returned when you return your headphones. The film start time is approximate due to light levels needed for optimum viewing! So what should you bring? Something to sit on! Most people tend to bring folding chairs or blankets but you're more than welcome to bring whatever keeps you comfortable. If you do bring a blanket we have a blanket zone at the front of the seating area to make sure you get a good view! Please also bare in mind if it has rained during the day or the night before the ground may be damp. Make sure you dress up warm and bring anything which may make your evening more comfortable: A blanket, thick socks to stop your tootsies from getting cold and maybe a torch for the walk home. When you arrive on site, set up your chosen spot in front of the screen, then pop over to the marquee where you can scan your tickets, pick up a drink and some popcorn and exchange your £10 CASH deposit for a set of wireless headphones. Food & Drink Food and drink will be available on site. - Check out our Facebook page for more details closer to the time. Please refrain from bringing any glass with you onto the site - use plastic cups instead. T&C's Smokers and Vaping - If you would like to smoke or vape during the event please pop yourself at the back and out of range from others, and also please put your cigarette butts into the ashtrays/bins provided! Litter - This event has been able to go ahead due to the approval and enthusiasm of the town council, please respect the land and leave it in the beautiful way that you find it. There will be plenty of bins on site - please feel free to fill them up!  Noise levels - It's a super fun & exciting time for everyone so although you are outside and have headphones on, please try to refrain from shouting at the person sitting next to you... Although you may not be able to hear your own voice remember the rest of the area will :)  Events like these are able to go ahead and continue as long as the local neighbours are being respected, so when leaving make sure to try to keep the noise to a minimum! Admission - Silent Summer Screenings maintains the right to refuse admission in reasonable circumstances including health and safety or licensing reasons. Age Restrictions - Parents should check film content prior to the purchase of any tickets. Age restrictions and recommendations for children may apply due to the nature and suitability of the film. Conscious Walking at Basingstoke - A Powerful Dynamic Meditation Technique

Conscious Walking is a dynamic walking meditation technique given to us by Brahmarishi Mohanji. The philosophy behind Conscious Walking is linked heavily to ancient Vedic and Buddhist principles and practices. It works on multiple levels, bringing you to present moment awareness. When CW is performed with full awareness, it is both a good form of exercise AND also a way to train the mind to remain in the present moment, in the NOW. “Most of us live in the future, which causes negligence of the present and anxiety over the future. Conscious Walking signifies being in the present and being in your own aura field. There is no energy loss. When energy circulates within your own aura field, most of the acquired blockages are dissolved.Benefits of Conscious Walking include:– Good for health, metabolism, digestion, circulation and Life,– Helps self-control,– Reduces anxieties, anger, insecurities and fears,– Increases concentration,– Increases togetherness and oneness. Please see more onhttps://mohanji.org/conscious-walking/Please contact Moushumi on 07879333984 if you would like to join this event. Mohanji Foundation UK is a registered charity that conducts sessions for Meditation, Yoga, prayer, healing, group discussion, retreats/one day programmes for the general public at various locations in the UK. The charity will acquire or support the acquisition of property for the above activities. It disseminates/publishes material on Mohanji's teachings and also arranges pilgrimages to places of worship worldwide.  Please use the below link for any Voluntary donations and if you are a UK taxpayer, then please do select gift aid. http://bit.ly/MohanjiFoundationUK
