SCARS OF A MOTHER


Zambian movie nominated for the 2019 African Film Festival  SCARS of a Mother, a movie written and produced by Australian based Zambian female filmmaker Matildah Muchindu also famed by her pen name “Maddie Mitchell” has been nominated for the 2019 African film festival. The film festival is expected run from June 27-June 30, 2019 at the African-American Museum Performance Hall Moody in Dallas Texas, USA. The African Film Festival showcases the very best that African film industry has to offer, with the aim of finding a larger audience and a more sustainable distribution system for African quality films. It also serve as a platform for educative references to African Culture. The activities of the film festival includes African Story Telling, film screenings, interactive workshops, Master Acting Class, and Awards Ceremony. The Zambian produced movie, Scars of a Mother talks about the struggles and sacrifices of a single mother for children and features some of Nollywood’s big names such as Patience Ozokwo, Zubby Michael and Prince Okafor among others. The Premiere of the Movie is expected to take place  on November 29, 2019 at Ster Kinekor Manda Hill Mall, in Lusaka.
