Richard Thompson (Solo Acoustic)

$77 Advance | $82 Day of Show
Doors open at 7pm.

Named by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the Top 20 Guitarists of All Time, Richard Thompson is also one of the world's most critically acclaimed and prolific songwriters. He has received Lifetime Achievement Awards for Songwriting on both sides of the Atlantic - from the Americana Music Association in Nashville to Britain's BBC Awards and the prestigious Ivor Novello as well as an OBE (Officer of the British Empire) awarded to him by Queen Elizabeth II.

Having co-founded the groundbreaking group Fairport Convention as a teenager in the 60's, Richard Thompson and his mates virtually invented British Folk Rock. By the age of 21 he left the band to pursue his own career, followed by a decade long musical partnership with his then-wife Linda, to over 30 years as a highly successful solo artist.

A wide range of musicians have recorded Thompson's music including Robert Plant, Elvis Costello, REM, Del McCoury, Bonnie Raitt, Los Lobos, David Byrne, Don Henley and many others.

Thompson's massive body of work includes over 40 albums, many Grammy nominations, as well as numerous soundtracks, including Werner Hertzog's Grizzy Man.

His most recent CD, Still, produced by Wilco's Jeff Tweedy, reached #6 on the UK charts, (just ahead of Taylor Swift)!

Doors open at 7pm.

Celebrating five decades of the music of Jethro Tull!

Martin Barre is the Grammy-award winning guitarist who played in Jethro Tull for 43 years, contributing to their success in a major way. The band represents an important part of classic rock history, with over 60 million albums sold. Martin’s guitar playing has earned him a high level of respect and recognition. He was voted 25th best solo ever in the U.S. for his playing on “Aqualung,” and he received a Grammy award for his playing on the album “Crest of a Knave” in 1988. He also influenced such contemporary guitarists as Joe Bonamassa, Steve Vai, Joe Satrini and Eric Johnson.

In addition to Jethro Tull, Martin has worked with top artists like Paul McCartney, Phil Collins, Gary Moore, and Chris Thompson and has shared the stage with legends like Jimi Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. For Martin’s return to the Narrows, he has put together a stellar, full band to play the classic music from the Jethro Tull catalogue in order to give the audience a chance to hear the hits, such as “Aqualung,” “Locomotive Breath,” and “Teacher,” and songs that have not been performed for many years.

Felix Cavaliere's Rascals

$62 Advance | $67 Day of Show
Doors open at 7pm.

The message has always been to stand for peace, love, and happiness. For legendary singer songwriter, FELIX CAVALIERE, making people feel good is primary to his illustrious 50-year career that includes the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Songwriter Hall of Fame, Vocal Group Hall of Fame, and Grammy Hall of Fame. Few artists can claim they defined a generation; FELIX CAVALIERE continues to remind us to keep listening for the world’s beauty.

The classically trained pianist, born in Pelham, New York, idolized Ray Charles, Marvin Gaye, and Sam Cook. FELIX CAVALIERE embraced the Hammond Organ and pioneered a fresh, rock and roll sound. Upon leaving Syracuse University to form the Escorts, and become a backup musician for Joe Dee and the Starliters and later Sandy Scott, who knew that his legendary next stop would be the beginning of an illustrious hall of fame career.

Early in 1965, FELIX CAVALIERE formed the 'Young Rascals' with Dino Danelli, Eddie Brigati, and Gene Cornish. That October, they caught the attention of promoter/manager Sid Bernstein with their high-energy set at Long Island's elite club, Barge. Signed to Atlantic Records, and now called The Rascals, the mega hit "Good Lovin'" struck No. 1 in February 1966. They followed suit with a string of hits like "I've Been Lonely Too Long," "Groovin'(No. 1 in 1967), "How Can I Be Sure," "A Girl Like You," "A Beautiful Morning," and "People Got to Be Free" (No. 1 in 1968). The Rascals are considered the best 'blue-eyed soul' group to come out of the 1960s, as well as one of the groups with the most record sales.

By the early 70s, The Rascals experimented with more jazz-influenced sounds, and moved to Columbia Records. The Rascals disbanded in 1972. FELIX CAVALIERE’s solo career thrived during this decade. He released his self-titled debut album with Todd Rundgren at the producer helm. His follow-up albums were Destiny (1974), Castles in the Air (1979) (Castle in the Air produced another Top 40 hit – "Only a Heart Sees" reached No. 2), Dreams in Motion (1994) and in 2008 he collaborated with Stax guitar legend, Steve Crooper, on the Grammy-nominated Nudge it Up a Notch and again in 2010 with Midnight Flyer.

FELIX CAVALIERE calls Nashville home base, where he is constantly collaborating and writing new material. He's also finishing his memoir and has an active tour schedule with FELIX CAVALIERE'S RASCALS. Visit FELIXCAVALIEREMUSIC.COM.
