We will consider how to generate, structure and organise ideas, how to translate arguments into academic writing, and how to utilise module material for different essay questions. This is an excellent opportunity to ask any questions you might have about essay writing in general. You are welcome to study individually or as a group. Grace Blakeley: Talk + Q&A hosted by Suffolk Coastal CLP

Suffolk Coastal CLP are hosting another informative and entertaining evening for Labour Party members on 18th July 2019. Our guest speaker is one of the most dynamic socialist commentators our movement has seen in recent years. Grace Blakeley is the New Statesman’s Economic Commentator and a research fellow at the Institute for Public Policy Research (IPPR). She is the author of a forthcoming book on the financialisation of the British economy entitled Stolen: How finance destroyed our economy and corrupted our politics. She regularly appears in the media as an economic commentator, including Politics Live, This Week and BBC Breakfast. Tickets are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment. Doors open at 7.00pm for 7.30pm start. The bar will be open throughout the evening. Gin Dinner

Following on from the success of our Gin Dinner the previous two years we are pleased to announce that it will be returning for Summer 2019 We are delighted to confirm that ‘The Gin Lord’ will be returning to us on Friday 19 July 2019for our next Gin Dinner. ‘The Gin Lord’ is a local gin enthusiast, distiller and resident expert on BBC Radio Suffolk. The evening will start with a drinks reception on the Sunken Lawn with the chance to sample gin cocktails. We will then head inside to the beautiful Drawing Room for  canapes and a two course meal accompanied by further Gin Tasting. This fantastic event will take place in the wonderful Drawing Room. There will be limited space for tickets so be sure to get yours before the event sells out.
