2019 Lake of the Ozarks Area Walk to End Alzheimer's


The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's® is the world's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer's care, support and research. Each year we bring Walk to End Alzheimer's to over 600 communities in the U.S., and we could not do it without our dedicated Walk day volunteers. Volunteers help with event set up, registration and check in, water stations, advocacy efforts, cheerleading and more! Raise awareness and bring your passion for the cause on Walk day.

Examine anesthesia implications for patients the neuromuscular pathology. Develop an evidence based approach for care of the patient with neuromuscular disease. Examine the evidence for various regional anesthetics as part of an enhanced recovery protocol. Examine emerging and novel regional techniques for the management of acute pain in nurse anesthesia practice. Examine the current opioid crisis in the United States. Examine the role of the nurse anesthetist in reducing perioperative opioid requirements. Examine pharmacologic principles of non-opioid agents and their role in opioid reduction and avoidance. Examine the opioid epidemic in the obstetric patient and the adverse effects of their use during pregnancy. Examine the indications and therapeutic effects of ketamine use in the parturient. Examine the pK/pD effects of ketamine and review potential pitfalls of use in the parturient. Examine the emerging role of enhanced recovery pathways and the role of anesthesia. Examine perioperative goal directed fluid therapy and review the evidence to support its’ use. Review normal cardiopulmonary anatomy and physiology Examine common co-existing disease and its influence on the practice of anesthesia. Review pK/pD of medications used in patients with cardiopulmonary disease Review the role of various pharmacologic agents encountered in the anesthetic management of a patient with cardiopulmonary disease. Explain How CRNA practice is recognized and regulated in the State of Missouri Describe the extent of federal regulations of nurse anesthesia practice. Examine incidence and etiology of the high risk OB patient. Explore anesthesia principles and practices to care for the high risk OB patient Review the ASA difficult airway algorithm with an emphasis on assessment Review anatomy and innervation of the upper airway. Examine evidence based techniques for the management of the difficult airway.       Cancellation Policy: A full refund will be given if written notification is received at least three business days prior to the scheduled meeting. From that date until seven business days following the meeting, a 50% refund will be given upon written request.  After the seven-day period, no refunds will be given. Registration fees cannot be credited toward future meetings.

MoANA 2019 Fall Conference - Vendor Registration


The Missouri Association of Nurse Anesthetists will be hosting its 2019 Fall Meeting at the newly renovated Margaritaville Lake Resort, formerly Tan-Tar-A Resort, at the Lake of the Ozarks. This resort has undergone a beautiful renovation of the property and guest rooms. Bring your family to enjoy the many amenities the lake has to offer! The spacious accommodations will allow exhibits to be located next to the General Session room in Salon A so attendees will be able to visit exhibits conveniently. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to meet and mingle with CRNAs from Missouri and surrounding states. We are expecting it to be a great success with over 200 CRNAs in attendance. Our exhibition display will be held on Saturday, October 5 from 6:30 am through 2:00 p.m. You may set up at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 4 or before 6:30 a.m. on October 5. We would love to have your participation! The fee for exhibiting is $400.00. This fee includes a table, lunch, and recognition for being an exhibitor.
