Baldock Network Group 2019

PLEASE NOTE NEW VENUE! Baldock Networking Group (BNG) provides an opportunity for local businesses to come together every fortnight for an informal networking meeting. The group aims to make networking both good fun and productive. We work together to support each other, generating business leads and sourcing contacts, to help make members’ businesses more effective and more successful. One of the features that makes us stand out from other groups is that every moment of our time spent networking is making a difference to our local community. The group is run by local children and families charity Home-Start Herts and all membership fees go towards helping them to support vulnerable families. Coffee and tea are served from 7am, and you have a choice of breakfast options. The group finishes around 8.45am, so you can hit the office fully charged and ready for the day ahead. Most weeks we have a speaker, who delivers a short presentation to the group on their business, or a topical issue. There is a £12 charge for members, payable on arrival, which covers the cost of breakfast and refreshments Non members pay £15.00 If you have any questions, please get in touch [email protected] We look forward to seeing you there

ColourWheel Art Classes - May 2019 Start - Be Amazed At What You Achieve!

The inspiration behind ColourWheel Art Classes was to offer accessible, fun and creative art classes especially for people who think that they can’t draw or paint but want to learn. Our classes are taught by professional, well qualified teachers, and the level of customer service we deliver is exceptional. The classes are great value for money and we go the extra mile for each and every student to make sure that their experience surpasses their expectations. Our students come back again and again which is testament to the care and attention we put into everything we do. Our classes are led by talented artists who are also experienced teachers. The course unfolds from Beginner to Improver levels, working at a structured pace of learning to develop perception and techniques to allow our students to work with different media materials at increasingly challenging projects. As well as the foundations of Drawing and Painting, the work of various classical and contemporary British and international masters is also presented as a strong reference to illustrate the lessons and inspire students to acquire the knowledge and experience they need to allow them to be able to develop their own style of work and discover their preferred choice of media. All these art principles and techniques are progressively applied to charcoal, graphite, watercolour pencils, watercolour paints, pen and ink, soft and oil pastels and acrylics, explored both individually and combined as mixed media.   FAQs   What can I bring into the event? No, included in the cost of the course is all the painting and drawing equipment you will need to produce fun and creative work.
