Print Studio Hire (Wed a.m.)


NOTE: Before you attend your first session you must join Resort Studios as a Facilities Member. This costs £35 a year. PLEASE JOIN ONLINE HERE: resortstudios.bigcartel.com/product/annual-facilities-membership You are booking: Wednesday morning session: 10am to 1pmEach session costs £15InductionsAll new users must undergo an induction and will be assessed on their ability to work safely and independently. If we think you need a refresher we will recommend you attend a workshop. Inductions take one hour and the price is included in the first session fee. Screenprint/etching/relief When you book you will be asked to choose which area of the studio you wish to use. This is so we can control numbers and make sure everyone has access to the equipment they need. Cancellations All bookings are final Access Please note the studio is up two flights of stairs. Unfortunately there is no wheelchair access. FAQs Will there be someone to help me? We will be available to answer general questions but you will be expected to work unassisted for the majority of the time. If you are a beginner you will need to take a workshop first. What do I need to bring? Everything we provide is listed on the facilities page of the Hello Print Studio website. You will need to bring everything else. You cannot store anything at the studio, except drying prints. Can I buy materials? We sell newsprint, tissue, somerset and cartridge paper, black ink for all processes and copper/zinc plates. Can I hire a screen? You can hire a screen from us at a price of £5 a week. You cannot remove the screen from the studio. What about coating screens? We provide photo-emulsion for coating screens at a charge of £2/£5 depending on size. I did some printmaking a while ago, can I use the facilities? We would recommend a refresher workshop for anyone who hasn't printed in the last year. If you want to discuss this with us, please get in touch. Can I bring an assistant/friend? If you have a disability which means you need assistance you can bring someone for free but you will both need to take an induction before using the studio. You must be working on the same project. All other helpers must be booked and paid for separately. Are children allowed in the studio? No, we cannot allow under-18s in the studio, sorry. Dogs? No, sorry. Kittens? Oh alright, go on then.

The Great Game is a unique treasure hunt with real treasure (the pub!) Perfect for the amateur detective or when you're stuck for something to do! The hunt will lead you around the city taking in all its famous landmarks and explaining a little bit of its history along the way. What to expect: An exciting day out. Exploring famous landmarks and secret back streets. Challenge yourself with puzzles, riddles, codes and orienteering work. If you are successful you will reveal where to draw the X on your treasure map to locate the treasure. The treasure its a great pub at which you can receive 20% off your total food and drink bill. We will book a table at the pub so its ready and waiting when you arrive. How to book: Choose your ticket for 1-2 people, 2-4 people or 5-8 people. Beginners Woodturning Course (2 Day)


Embark on your woodturning journey with our two day beginners woodturning course. Learn from your experienced tutor who will guide you through the tools, equipment and accessories you need to create delightful pieces from wood. What you will learn Encompassing the basics in woodturning, your two days will cover sharpening techniques, drilling on the lathe and parting off techniques. Furthermore you’ll discuss and learn finishing techniques to enable your designs to really stand out. Finishes include friction polishes, sealers, waxes and oils. With guidance from your tutor, you will gain hands-on experience throughout the course. Live Jazz & Dinner @ Stag


Join us for another evening of great food and amazing smooth, latin and bossa nova jazz music played by the amazing Betsy Aidin Jazz Music. Your ticket gains you entry to the venue from 6.30pm with live music starting at 7.30pm. It also includes a starter and a main course from our great Jazz Dinner Menu. We cater for Vegan, Vegetarian and Gluten Free on our menu, if you have other dietary or allergy needs please get in touch at least 48hours before the event. Cocktails, beer and wine are available throughout the night as well as our coffees, teas and soft drinks. (Sorry to smoothies or milkshakes due to the noise it makes). A small dessert menu is available if you have room after the 2 courses. An optional 10% service charge will be added to your final bill at the end of the night which 100% goes to the staff working on the night. We operate a challenge 25 scheme at Stag, if you look under 25 we will ask for proof of age. Under 18 are allowed with adult supervision. What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event? Stag is located at 110 High Street, Ashford. It is easily accessed from Ashford International Train Station (10mins walk). Parking is free in Vicarage Lane Car Park and £1 after 4pm at the new Elwick Place Car Park (Picturehouse cinema). A taxi rank is located lower down the high street. We offer a refund upto 7 days before the event. No refund is offered after this date. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? A printed ticket is not neccessary.
