Canterbury Treasure Hunt with 20% off at the finishing Treasure (the pub)


The Great Game is a unique treasure hunt with real treasure (the pub!) Perfect for the amateur detective or when you're stuck for something to do! The hunt will lead you around the city taking in all its famous landmarks and explaining a little bit of its history along the way. What to expect: An exciting day out. Exploring famous landmarks and secret back streets. Challenge yourself with puzzles, riddles, codes and orienteering work. If you are successful you will reveal where to draw the X on your treasure map to locate the treasure. The treasure its a great pub at which you can receive 20% off your total food and drink bill. We will book a table at the pub so its ready and waiting when you arrive. What's in the pack: Clues sheet Treasure map Clipboard Pen Compass Prize envelope (contains a history of the pub and an activity pack) Wristbands for receiving the 20% discount at the pub. How to book: Choose your ticket for 1-2 people, 2-4 people or 5-8 people. You only need one ticket per group of this size. You only need one ticket per group-size category (e.g. if you are 2 people, you will only need 1 ticket of the category "1-2 people". After purchase email [email protected] to redeem your ticket. Please include a posting address in your email! Please tell us what time your are starting in your email! It takes around 2-3 hours to complete and we will book a table under your name at the treasure pub. Your pack will be posted to you please allow up to 5 working days for it to arrive. Please note your tickets are flexible and can be chosen on any day that suits you. Pub opening times and kitchen times can be found on our website. U18's are allowed in the pubs during the day but in the evenings some venues might not, please check on our website for these times also. Spindle Moulding Training


The spindle moulder is a very adaptable and versatile piece of equipment. This one day spindle moulding course will show you how to set the machine up correctly and use it safely. In addition, your tutor will impart their skills and knowledge of the machine and teach you how to get the best results from this excellent machine. What you will learn On your one day course, you will learn how to set the spindle moulder up correctly and how to use it safely. Sharing skills and techniques, your tutor will give you advice on various types of tooling and how to fit and use them. You will cover tool sharpening and the correct way to store and look after tooling. You will learn how to set up fences and guards and understand how to position tooling fences to give the required cut. For maximum safety the positioning of guards, featherboards and the use of push sticks will also be considered. You will cover moulding and rebating, tenoning and end grain work and the use and benefits of a sliding carriage. In addition to all this, your tutor will demonstrate how to make a cabinet door. Additional information You will start your day with a welcome talk, including a hot drink, health and safety brief and a breakdown and review of the machines you will be using. This course is aimed at people who own or use a spindle moulder and need advice on safe and best practice or for those people thinking of purchasing a spindle moulder. The minimum age is 14 years old and anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the course and must not be left unattended during class hours.
