Going Digital - Rising to the Challenge. Solutions for Sustaining Infrastructure

Rising to the Challenge - Solutions for Sustaining Challenge Design professionals and project stakeholders are today constantly challenged to deliver successful projects despite tighter delivery schedules, smaller budgets and limited manpower. Combined with these challenges, the industry is looking to implement Building Information Modelling (BIM) throughout the design, construction and operation life cycle of projects. Bentley Systems understands these challenges and has addressed them with OpenBuildings Designer CONNECT Edition (previously called AECOSIM Building designer), Bentley’s multi-discipline application that facilitates BIM. OpenBuildings Designer CONNECT Edition truly enables unlimited design capabilities inclusive of BIM methodologies by bridging the barriers between industries, disciplines and geographically distributed teams while allowing the freedom to design and deliver the most inspiring and innovative projects. Join Cadventure at one of our half-day seminars in 6 UK locations where our experts will shed more light on OpenBuildings Designer, and let us guide you and your colleagues to a successful BIM outcome. Sessions will include: an overview of OpenBuildings Designer, OpenBuildings Station designer and LEGION, learn how OpenBuildings Designer can be used for different industry projects including Building, Rail, Infrastructure, and see user project presentations. Permaculture Your Life!

Have you heard about permaculture but still aren't sure quite what it is? Do you wonder if it's more than organic gardening and compost loos? You might be surprised to learn that it's a very well-practiced design system - based on how natural systems work - that can be applied to any aspect of your life, livelihood and community to make it all more fruitful, harmonious, effortless and resilient. It's been over 40 years in the development and draws on both older human wisdoms and current sustainable technologies. It's now a global thing and is being applied in all sorts of exciting ways. This short introduction session will open your eyes to a world of possibilities as we show you how you can add permaculture to your family and relationships, your work, your leisure, your health and self-care and your involvement in your community. We'll be focusing on three core ethics that form the heart of permaculture practice and 12 principles of design that you can apply everywhere. We'll ask some good questions and tease out some useful answers and send you home with a new view on life and how to live it well. Facilliated by Milly and Olivia. Cake and drinks provided. Parking at the venue us free.
